“Very friendly staff, and helpful. Store is always very clean, Restrooms are clean. Shelves are always well stocked, neat, and orderly.Just a great place to shop! The meat department offers some great deals, and the deli is wonderful. We will continue to shop here!”
“Most of the staff are friendly sometimes you can walk in and feel welcomed other times you walk in feeling like you are being judged and instantly profiled I can say only a select few employees that can make you uncomfortable. The store itself is always clean and well stocked the prices are outrageous not having a running vehicle sometimes I have no choice but to shop local when I do i don't make it throughout the month on the budget I have going to Walmart I can get all that I need and then some but at shop n save I have keep a very close eye on what I spending.”

“Bad and sad news. This store will be closing down for good this month, I'm July. I am somewhat upset this this store is closing, cause this is the only gas station and convenient store in middle of town of Salem with more variety of snacks and drinks. Plus, the BP gasoline is the best gas in town. Now with this station closing down soon, I'm forced to buy gas for the mowers at the other end of town or in another town. I just hope that this place will be up for sale and another company would take over this station. Update. The 7 Eleven corporate was going to shut this gas station and convenience store down, but after complaints from Salem residents and a few employees, the corporate decided to keep this store open. Everyone in Salem is happy to see this store to remain open.”
“I used to live in Salem and truthfully I find many more products that I just can't find in the other dollar general stores. I'm aware that these stores and others like them don't have any say in the merchandise that gets sent to each store but its a well rounded store and has everything you need or at least some item that will do in place of your preferred items. Overall its a nice little store and I usually find everything I need some in fact are items I've been looking for a while.”

“Got some pepperoni rolls. With the Stix. I can't believe how small they have gotten. In the 5 years I've been gone. So sad. This was my favorite place to stock up on them to take home to Ohio”

“I had a flat tire near Wallace. I had no cell phone service and no Wi-Fi. I would have really been in trouble if the employees at the Dollar General in Wallace, WV, had not been so eager to help me. They were very busy but for a couple of hours they went out of their way so I could get the help I needed.
