Good social place to play games. I'm from out of state so I can't become a regular. Only complaint would be that the way the board games are set for browsing can make it a bit claustrophobic, but they are set up in an easy to see way!

This is probably my favorite game store of all time. Very quiet atmosphere, free to play board games with purchase of one drink, and intelligent staff. Definitely using this place for evening game nights from now on.

Called on March 1st to see when I could come and purchase the new one piece set I was told that it was March 15th is when I could buy boxes packs etc. but I called again on March 8th to make sure because one of my friends said I could get them then I was told by the owner that it would t be until the 15th I get there and all they have left is 3 pack sets and I could only buy one so not only was lied to when I confronted the owner and asked he acted like he had no idea awful business practices yet again I would highly recommend seeking your collectible needs someplace else with a place that has morals and ethics.

Very nice place to come and explore board games and trading cards of different types. Kid friendly, great atmosphere. Rewards program in place, just have to ask about it. Prices are great for sealed product and single cards.

Employees are extremely passionate about this place and the communities formed through various games are the lifeblood of the store. I’ve saved +$100 through their rewards program and have never been disappointed in prices (just the opposite). The owner and employees are very personable and helpful and want you to leave satisfied and coming back again and again. Absolute must visit for all

Stopped in here Friday night on 12/9 just looking for a unique board game or tabletop game that was semi simple. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped me and my wife pick out a new game that we never would have picked up otherwise. Very friendly staff and made a perfect match for us we have already played escape the dark castle 5 times and love the game highly recommend this for anyone that loves tabletop or just want to pick up something unique :)

I love coming here to play games but I bought a box that was supposed to be sealed and it wasn’t and didn’t have the pull rates the box should’ve had pretty much told my bad and just left a bad taste In my mouth I know mistakes happen but the kicker was there was sealed product in the back and I was told there wasn’t just bad business. They had gave me a promo worth nothing and the only reason I feel stolen from is because I’ve been collecting for over 20 years tcg and collectibles and there’s pull rates in each box and what I received wasn’t what was supposed to be in a box so I feel I was fooled.

TDLR-Pros- Great selection of advanced boardgames/Quite a few sit-and-play used games/Clean store/Good Drinks/Friendly customers/Local EventsCons- Owner is rude and indifferent to new customers when asked questions/TCG stock is lacking here in favor of Hurricane location/Tight, uncomfortable play areas.PROSAs far as a wide ranged selection goes Board Room has a fantastic, diverse stock of advanced board games and party games. This comes with the caveat that you're not gonna get many cheap games here. Most advanced board games cost 40-50 dollars or more. That's not Board Room's fault though, that's just anywhere. I've probably bought 800 dollars in board games here in the last couple months and it wasn't that many of them. However, if you want to try out many of the games before you buy, or you just don't wanna spend that money on something you'll break out once, they have a shelf full of used games that you can play. These have passed through the hands of those who may not be considerate, so some are missing pieces, but it's still a good way to get an idea.As far as game shops go, it's clean and not at all grungy or cluttered. While there are alot of shelves that take up room, most are along the walls or in their own sections. They do sell beer on tap here and light snacks. The community I've met here has all been fantastic, friendly, and generally open people. They do host local events such as launch parties, Digimon/Lorcana tournaments and Magic Game Nights.CONSThis is probably my biggest issue with the Board Room and is what stops me from coming back here regularly. I'd probably be doing the events and tournaments here constantly but now I just kind of drop by if there is a game I want for my weekly game night. The Owner. We have had 3 interactions with him, I'm a friendly guy, my wife is an extremely friendly person, and rarely do I get met with such indifference. The first time I went to the shop he was there, I tried to introduce myself with a "Just wanted to say hi, I'm so-and-so" and relieved the flattest "okay" I've ever had in my life before he just walked away. Next time was for a Lorcana event. My wife went up to ask if her name had been called for seating cause she was in the bathroom and apologized. He stared at her for a full 15 seconds like she was an alien, before replying with a huge attitude and acting like she was the biggest bother in the world. He asked her name, she said it, he glanced at the computer "said I don't think so" then just started shouting names as she thanked him and walked away. And the third time, admittedly I didn't even try. I bought a board game from him cause he was working the register, asked him if I could use my reward points, and he sighed and typed in the email, tapped the card reader machine for me to put my card in, grabbed a bag, put the game in, handed it to me, and didn't say a word. Not a "have a nice day" or anything.I'm a pretty understanding, laid back guy so I get being a store owner is stressful, hard work and I don't know if that's the reason he doesn't give my wife or I the time of the day, but it's off-putting. TCG/Geek shops are supposed to be a place to go to spend money you shouldn't be spending on things you don't really need yet are still happy about. Luckily I don't suffer from social anxiety or low self esteem, but I know alot of people who do that enjoy game shops and I don't think he fosters a very good environment to help with that.Next Con is that many times when I go in there asking for specific products, such as Magic Commanders, Pokémon collections, and Flesh and Blood, 9/10 times I hear "we don't have it here but our Hurricane location does". More annoying that anything but there could be a reason when it comes to foot traffic between stores. When playing events it's very shoulder to shoulder and back to back. There isn't alot of floor space for tables so
