“Had lunch there today, awesome litte hole in the wall corner store. Great homemade sandwiches, the pastrami is delicious! Reminds me of a store in the Andy Griffith Show or something ?”

“A restaurant supplier who breaks things down so you don't have to buy monster sizes. Another perk, most suppliers I've visited you have to know exactly what you want as it isn't a grocery store where you can browse. While the store is not particularly big it does allow you to physically walk the store and shop. You won't be able to get all your weekly shopping done here but it does offer good/great prices and access to mostly restaurant quality foods with a focus on but not limited to steaks/seafood/soups/pies. Personally, I think it is a great suppliment for the average consumers grocery.”

“I remember coming here over 40 years ago when it was across the highway and it's still my go-to. Best of a lot of stuff. Really excellent apple selection during the season. Plenty more, but York apples, oh yeah. I go for one or two peaches in the summer on my way to visit family, and end up filling the back of the SUV with a dozen other things. Great recommendations too. It'd be nice if there were a couple other food trucks for variety.”

“Eclectic mix of organic greens and similar groceries as well as an amazing assortment of organic baked goods and sandwiches. Who knew you could pack so much into so small a space. Delicious!”

“Most delicious pastries I had on the entire Appalachian Trail. The iced coffee and sandwiches were amazing too! They even invited me for a free wine tasting after I was done eating lunch. I had to keep on hiking that day, so I didn't do the wine tasting, but I'll never forget how kind they were to a stinky thru-hiker! I hope to make it back here someday to enjoy more great food and hospitality ☺️”

“I absolutely LOVE going to Crowell's! The service is wonderful, so friendly, and funny. These two men make you feel like a good friend everytime you walk in. I highly recommend it!!! ❤️(P.S. DELICIOUS Boston Cream Pie...and the subs!!! ?)”

“This food lion is a bit dated and has a very small produce section as well as some odd layout choices. Overall in Charles Town area I'd probably choose to shop at another grocery unless this was quicker. But the staff is friendly and helpful and the store is clean no complaints about the products the do have just a bit dated and smallish.”

“For those visiting Antietam Battlefield, this is a great place to break for lunch (or a snack) as it is iso close to the battlefields. We got their steak and cheese, their tuna salad sandwich, and their cold cut and we were not disappointed. The steak and cheese was heaping with meat and the tuna salad was spilling out of the sandwich. Great portions, great taste, the bread was not chewy and it hit the spot as we were famished from our jaunt at the battlefields. Also, their prices are just right as you do get your money's worth.”

“I don't like check out. They just throw in basket heavy on top of light. Then you have to go bag it. And pay for a cart. This was my first time, not impressed. Positive, food was good and great prices. I might try curbside pick up.”

“My family's go to place for local, fresh produce. Great location, large selection of vegetable, milk (goat, cow), eggs (chicken, duck, quail), cheese (goat, cow). Bread, meat... even gifts! Can't find what you need? Let the staff know and they'll seriously look into getting it into their store. They take SNAP. All in a all, a wonderful resource for both local producers and consumers!”

“This store is defiantly less cluttered and cleaner than the bunker hill or north Queen stores. But it still has its days. Thus may be a corporate problem I don't think there are enough staffers it seems there always short handed and workers are stocking shelves between customers. Over all the Pikeside plaza Dollar General store is my favorite out of the ones in my area.”

“It was a nice experience. I like getting my puppy's Cesar wet food here. The price is reasonable. They didn't have the chicken for BOGO Free this time. But that is ok.”

“Very kind employees :) I am always nervous in public but they were so kind it made me want to go there more often -- I had only stopped by to get some last-minute stuff for a Halloween party.”

“I am giving this a 4 Star because, on a few occasions, there were vegetables that were not their best. On this day on 9/24/2023, I picked up red potatoes and I noticed a bad odor. I realized that it was the red potatoes. Because the cashier was busy, I put the potatoes at the next register. When I was waiting on the cashier named Zach showed his gratitude for what I did. What impressed me was that Zach was the first cashier who was kind, greeted me, and was very polite. I only come to this store when I really have to because of the food quality and the cashier's are not that friendly. So thank you Zach for giving me a different experience and being professional.”

“Love the wine selection in this market, the steamed shrimp are always a delicious treat! Highly recommend the fried chicken as well it's delicious and they never disappoint. I do recommend you order ahead if it's during busy times like football season.”

“I really like this store. I only seen this store in Frederick, Maryland. The prices are really good. I think I like it better than Aldi. Love the prices. I will visit everytime I go to the area”

“Great place to exercise, even for Seniors like myself. Senior equipment is in the front and other equipment for the younger crowd is in the back. There are classes and and other things going on all the time. If you have Silver Sneakers like I do, you can go to any One Fitness gym anywhere in the country for free. The staff is great, helpful and always up for a conversation!!”

“Decent store and always organized compared to the other dg’s in the area but they should check dates on food and candy. I just bought a bag of dark chocolate Reese peanut butter cups that expired 12/2021. It was only a dollar so not worth taking back.”

“My favorite of the Food Lions in the area. I have them special order larger quantities of a store brand soda I love and the managers and staff are always wonderfully accommodating.”

4.1 Good35 Reviews

“This is a great store over all, but if you need anything from behind the checkout counter, depending on the shift and who's working you could be waiting a good while. They strongly rely on self check out and often have to be found to come help up front.”

“I love Aldi!!! Their generic brand is good. They sell a wonderful selection of cheeses, meat, produce, dairy products, coffee and even have an inexpensive wine selection. Don't forget to bring your own bags but if you don't you can purchase them.”

“This is about the pharmacy at that Martins. You guys are the best!!! Great customer service!!! Thank you so much for getting me my meds after dealing with a horrible experience with Walgreens on Edwin Miller Blvd. Definitely recommend this place.”

“I had not been to a Weis Market since the long closed one in my hometown, York, PA. Here's what I found. Weis is competitive. Low prices, sales and specials abound. I challenge you on pharmacy prices! Stop by or call, especially if you don't have insurance coverage. Their points incentive is on point too. All is still true and it's all renovated, upscaled and beautiful.”

“Really great Martin's. I like the layout; everything is clean and well organized. The parking lot is not at all my favorite though, really is the only weak point of the place. I had no issues while there at all. If you keep to the sales you can save more money here than at other place down the road.”
