Used to use this gun smith a lot because he was local and could get the job done quick. Until I asked if he could install an ambi safety on a nighthawk 1911 quoted a month lead time and $100 labor. Absolutely robbery. AWT in Russell put one in while I waited for $45.And the owner blows his grass in the road when he mows like a douche.

Mr. Cale has done some work for me with a muzzleloader and Ruger 44 and recently repaired a sling swivel on the forearm of an Encore. Pleased to help me and took an hour on all 3 visits. Very professional work from a Christian man. Thanks Steve.

I'm still steamed over my experience w/Mr. Cale 4yrs after he kept my gun 3yrs and didn't deliver on his promises. I had to buy a new stock and have it completely redone. His faulty ministrations... cost close to$4k!

Professional service.
This isn't a kitchen table gunsmith operation.
Mr. Cale provides an expert service at a fair price. A perfectionist, I found him intent on listening to my concerns with an old revolver and worked on it until I was satisfied.

After looking for some time for a professional to work on my 120 year old Winchester 1897 that had been used and abused, I ran across Mr. Cale on recommendation. I received the weapon through a pawnbroker and took a chance as I knew the piece likely had issues, but wanted to get it back in working order.
After inspection, Mr. Cale agreed to further examine, clean the piece, and fix the significantly cracking 120 year old stock. After a short turn around time, Mr. Cale not only addressed my concerns, but further identified and fixed a misaligned barrel, sight, and dangerously unnoticed receiver and head spacing issue that could have destroyed the gun and future operator.
In short, I am very satisfied with Mr. Cales professionalism and work quality, and will be back down the road. When you collect old firearms maintenance and repair is an expected cost. I had no problem paying said cost for this man’s work and attention to detail.

2.5 stars had Mr. Cale installed a set of springs and hammer on this old double for $100. Happy that he was able to get them set in two hours when I couldn’t get them set after spending 20+ trying, although after I calmed down from the excitement of them being installed, once home I notice quit a few marks on my receiver that wasn’t there before.
