I have been a client for almost 8 years. Dr. Wilt has walked me through geriatric and end of life care for two dogs, routine spay/neuter vaccines for a few stray cats, and is beloved by my two current dogs. He's less "pupular" with my mom's chihuahua, but demonstrates lots of patience with the little rotten dog regardless. We have utilized almost all of the available services, from dental cleanings to diagnostic bloodwork. I was the office manager of a vet clinic when I was younger, so I am pretty picky, but Dr. Wilt is one of the best practical diagnosticians that I have met.

Ashton was a wonderful caring tech and did an amazing job helping Dr Wilt save my shihtzu that got into mouse poison. Even though we were not regular patients there yet.I was amazed that they took her in so quickly. She seems to be doing quite well

First visit here and I was very comfortable from the front desk to the exam room. Everyone put the animals first and made a very easy visit.

I have used Ranson Animal Hospital since moving to WV. My elderly rescue dog was unable to get up this morning, she had been going downhill. I made the painful decision to have her put to sleep. I called, explained the situation and was told he couldn't do it today. EXCUSE ME? I will NEVER return there and anyone who asks I will retell my experience. How uncaring they are.

After using Ranson Animal Hospital for my 2 rescue dogs, my oldest dog stopped eating or getting up. I made the painful decision to let her cross the Rainbow Bridge. I called this morning, explained her situation and was told they couldn't help me today. How uncaring they were. I will never take any of my dogs there again with the attitude I was given. I called Blue Ridge Veterinary in Purcellville Va- their response- of course we'll help you, bring her in. They were wonderful and very caring with my girl. I highly recommend them.

Zero would be more fitting- I CALLED FIRST- stated: my dog was bit by a snake. They asked if I saw the kind of snake I said no, he was in the tall grass around the shed- but we have copperheads up here- he isn't doing well, leg is swelling and he's very dizzy. They told me bring him straight in. I did. They said they thought it may be a break- I said no, it's a snake bite. They say they don't see puncture marks. So they X-ray him, they say no break, but they might do some more testing- I said shave his damn leg and check for puncture because I told you it's a snake bite. They say "oh yeah, we see two small punctures, it's a snake bite. You'll need to take him somewhere else, we do not carry anti venom." Wasted a lot of time and still paid over $700 for them to bullshit me around. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE- I still have to pay out, but considering legal action, they are unethical. Thank god Blue Ridge Veterinary Associates saved my boy.

They are straight forward, but willing to listen to you as well. We've done many different things there, from euthanasia, yearly checks, surgery, "emergencies"...and each experience has been different but one thing remains the same, quality. He won't sugar coat a bad situation.

After trying several different vets, locally and out of state, we found ourselves at Ranson Animal Hospital. Our old man is a difficult patient. He’s 12 years old, high energy, anxious, and has severe skin allergies. He’s suffered with allergies for as long as I can remember, but they hit him hard in the fall of 2022. We were faced with a ruptured blood vessel in one ear, back to back ear infections, and slow healing ulcers in both eyes which unfortunately led to the loss of his right eye. He’s been in a cone since we started seeing Dr. Wilt in April and had two very extensive surgeries since December. All of that and his allergies were still persistent.Dr. Wilt and his staff have been nothing but caring and beyond helpful since the day we walked in. Other vets wanted to sedate him to do simple things such as clean his ears. Tyson was in a lot of pain when we first saw Dr. Wilt. They saw him every 1-2 weeks in the beginning to monitor the situation with his eyes and ears. They “fit me in” on several occasions where my schedule just wasn’t as flexible. The girls are always ready and willing to answer all my questions. If there is something they can’t tell me, they will find out the answer and get back to me as soon as possible. Tyson is feeling the best he’s felt in more than a year! We are not completely out of the woods yet, but I feel so much better knowing that we have a doctor and staff who truly care! My only hope is that Tyson can enjoy the rest of his time here with us, pain and itch free! Because of Ranson Animal Hospital I can finally see the light at the end of a very long tunnel!
