My husband, a disabled veteran purchased some planting pots. He politely asked the garden cashier for a military discount as he held his ID. She told him to use an app on his phone. H said he did not have one. She THREW the eight smaller pots into the larger ones. As she handed him his receipt she stared ahead and would not look his way.

Over $3,000 spent online for an electric riding lawn mower, which seemed like a good idea at the time. Then Home Depot manages to: (1) Deliver said riding lawn mower on a day I can't be there, despite me making it clear both to the store and the (horrendous) delivery service, Non Stop Delivery, that I wouldn't be available. They leave it wrapped in its pallet and mounted to a frame in front of my house. (2) Lose the thing that matters. When I arrive the following day, I open the pallet, pull everything apart (a good two hours spent) and discover that it doesn't contain THE key item - the charger! It's nowhere to be found, and after long calls to oblivious Home Depot representatives, the answer is "it should have been included with the mower - we don't know where it is but we'll try to see if we can get you one." (3) Waste even more of my time. A week later, with zero updates from the online store or the delivery service, I dropped by the Ranson store to pick up some other items and decided to inquire about the status of my charger. One of the customer service reps said he'd try to help and he and I spent the next 45 minutes while he attempted to figure out where I could get a charger. No dice. He then offers to give me one of the chargers from one of his mowers in the store, then takes that back after he realizes that he'd be on the hook to sell his store's mower without its charger (and he isn't allowed to order the charger). Wow. (4) Fake me out on returning the mower. After hearing that my options boiled down to (a) potentially waiting until the heat death of the universe for a charger, or (b) returning the mower for a refund, I take (b). He first asks me to go rent a trailer and find a hitch to bring the mower to the store, but I remind him that I'm now going to be out money returning an item that his company delivered to me in non-working condition. So he agrees to send his contract delivery/pickup folks out to get it. But - and you've got to love this in the age of Google Maps - they "can't find the house" so they just go on their merry way. Now we have to "reschedule..." There's more twists and turns but I've depressed myself writing this. Suffice to say that Home Depot doesn't deserve your business - especially their online store (since they're basically unaccountable and couldn't care less what happens to heir customers) - but this store isn't covering itself in glory either. My options are now reduced to nuclear ones involving the Better Business Bureau and disputing charges. If this mower doesn't leave my premises in the next 48 hours, that's exactly where this story leads. Run away screaming from Home Depot. Try Lowe's. Try Tractor Supply. Try your friends and family, but don't waste your money with these folks, where customer service is Job #277.

Worst experience with laminate tile installation. After waiting weeks the so called installers showed up and looked at the tile and said it's no good. They started breaking it with there hands. They said they couldn't install it it's too cold. They said i would get a call from Home Depot. I never got a call so I went myself and took the material to show someone named Ali. She opened each box took the bad ones and said they would have to order them. Then I get a call 4 hours later and she had them in stock at the store! Never Ever Again will I use your installation service! Simply horrible! I guess I'll be waiting another damn month!

Ordered a cabinet from Home Depot. The cabinet has a defective leveling foot. I ordered one from Whirlpool but it never shipped. When I called the Home Depot store they told me to come to the store and swap it out. I drove 30 minutes only to learn they didn't carry the cabinets in store. The employee could careless about customer service nor did anyone else at the store. There are other options than Home Depot, I would suggest you shop somewhere.

Please don't give them any of your money We ordered flooring, paid for labor to remove all existing flooring to subfloor and install lux vinyl plank: $8000 Someone came out to measure how much flooring was needed before we paid, delivery and installation scheduled 2 months later... The installers get to the house we have all the material they first tell us, they don't remove sheet vinyl...that's not what we wanted when we told the salesperson what we were paying for. The head of the contracting company says they can do it for $900. So we agree to pay the extra, the installers tell us flat out the don't do it. Thankfully we hadn't paid yet. They say they can install it over the sheet vinyl and put in threshold strips...a half a** job but fine get it done. Then they start ripping up the carpet and put a level ON A NAIL and say there's a huge gap/misleveling of the subfloor. My father who knows contracting moves it off the nail and tells them to now measure. It was still too much of a gap for this flooring to be done. They also say they can't fix it by using leveling compound. "We don't do that." Honesty, what DO you do then??? So now we have 3 tons of material taking up space that we can't use. Go to home depot to get a refund, takes them a week of "verifying" with the contractor that no work was done. They offered to fix it but with the initial poor vetting of their contractors why would we trust them again? I made it clear I wanted a full refund. WE return the materials because the company that delivered it won't take the boxes if not on a pallet. Which is bull. We didn't use a pallet to return it. They process the refund minus $180. Excuse me? We can't refund the delivery fee since it was delivered to you instead of picked up. It was performed. FOR A PRODUCT WE "SUPPOSEDLY" COULDNT USE???? I made it clear we wanted a FULL refund. "We didn't say anything about the delivery fee we just said parts and labor." Well the fact that you didn't convey that to us is underhanded and poor customer service. Screw them and their shady practices. We will take all of our home improvement needs elsewhere.

Since we moved to the area about 2 1/2 years ago, it was a plus (we thought) that there was a Home Depot in the area. From messed up appliance deliveries and lack of help from personnel each time we went in, today I reached my limit. There is normally a lack of help to ask questions, but today when I went in there were multiple blocked aisles. Fork lifts, sometimes 2 across and in one location three aisles and an aisle into the next department blocked with "temporarily closed" gates. The responses from any employee I could find after retracing my path to get out were consistently "those are there for your protection".... Despite the fact that no one was around those locations doing anything. This store location needs a serious change of management! I will drive to Lowes in Martinsburg or Leesburg before attempting to buy anything from here again!@

I ordered flooring and a new door. First, they sent the measure team to the wrong address. Spent all day on the phone trying to get that worked out. Nope. Then the door guy constantly calls/texts at all hours that he is at the property after continually explaining I don’t live there and need a timeframe since I’m an hour away. I called the store customer care manager, Jennifer. She assures me that she will cancel the door measure and refund my money. She does not and doesn’t not follow up. In addition, the information they give to my husband is way different than the info they give me… they tried to charge me way more (very sexist since they assumed I know nothing about contracting). I’m still waiting for my issue to be resolved and my money to be refunded as promised. Horrible customer service/relations, dishonest, and lack of follow through. Take your business elsewhere! There are many cheaper/friendlier local businesses who actually care about their customers. Stay away from doing business here.

Thank you Home Depot for our new appliances. We ordered them at the Ranson Store they were delivered and installed on time. Very helpful and professional from sales floor to the guy's installing them.

Osman and his work partner did such an incredible job delivering and installing our refrigerator today. We couldn’t have done it without them. And the lady in the store helped us so much, to choose just the right one, and helped us find the correct wires to change over our other appliances to different plug types. Highly recommended place.

Do not order flooring from these people. Not only will your order be months late, there is no communication between staff so nobody has any idea what they’re talking about or how to assist/help customers. Ex: I was called and told my very late order was ready to pick up. When I arrive at the store I’m told the order is “missing”. After 45 minutes of waiting the manager comes over and says, “wait, this is partial order so the rest isn’t here.” Then another person comes over, reads the notes, and shows them that my order is complete and at the store. NOBODY CAN FIND MY FLOORING. An hour later I have to leave without my order because I have to pick up my children and I still have no flooring. This place sucks, that is all.

This particular Store has been extremely difficult and, at times, very unprofessional. I have been attempting to return an item for the last 10 days. Took a week to get in contact with anyone useful.

If I could leave a review with NO stars I would. The store manager does not understand customer service, this is my first review however I have had many bad shopping experiences in this store. Lates was with a dryer that stopped working just 2 days of use. It took 10 days to deliver the machine and would take another 2 weeks to get a new one. Management would not return calls nor would they address any other options. Do NOT shop here.
