I was having problems with my privately owned in-ground tank today. I called AmeriGas and 2 guys were here in less than an hour. Bill W. and Ronnie G. showed up in a service truck and they diagnosed the problem with my tank in about 5 minutes flat. They were able to fix 2 problems with my tank in less than an hours time. They then checked for pressure drop and leaks through the whole system and my entire home. It was obvious that they had years of experience and knew just what to do with a 1000gal tank issue. They were both friendly and professional. They were great people to work with and I could not have asked for a better service team to come to my home. My wife will be very happy we have hot water again. Thank you Bill and Ronnie for fixing my issues quickly and for making certain the entire systems was safe.
These two deserve to be recognized for what they do day in and day out. Hope AmeriGas can let these two men know how valuable they are to their company and to the community they services.

Anyone who is considering using AmeriGas for their residential propane needs should first join the AmeriGas consumer complaints group on Facebook. There are now over 8,000 members and many have had the same bad experience. Issues range from refusal to let customers purchase their previously leased tanks or charging hundreds of dollars for tanks that have reached their life expectancy, overpriced propane, bad customer service from their overseas call center, surprise charges on bills etc.

Earlier this month I asked that someone call me and instead received an email from "Wanda". Her response was not sufficient so again I asked her to call me. She asked what time I was available and I gave her a window of availability. I never heard back from her. It is obvious from her response, and the fact that all of your telephone numbers go to call centers in India and the Philippines, that Amerigas has absolutely no interest in providing customer service.

Have been with Amerigas for over 20 years. We have never experienced anything but EXCELLENT SERVICE with deliveries being on or ahead of when they were scheduled. All delivery drivers, other service providers (we had one leak over the years which was promptly fixed) and front desk personnel COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE RESPONSIVE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

Your Propane is so overpriced compared to all of your competitors and your offshore customer service will make it very difficult to continue doing business with your company.

This is an update to my previous one star review. I was contacted by Lauren in customer service who was very helpful. I was also able to speak with someone in the local office who was very helpful. Two AmeriGas team members came out today and we're also friendly and got, what had previously steamed like a difficult job, done. They did some troubleshooting and we're able to remove the tank.They assured me that they are aware of some of the problems they are having with communications through the call center and are working on a resolution.Previous review -We have had nothing but frustration with this company. We have had issues with billing and now that we want the tank removed it has been incredibly difficult to get that to happen. You can not reach a person who has the ability to schedule a pickup, when we finally did get it scheduled they didn't show up, they changed the pickup date without telling us even though we were told they would contact us if there were any problems or questions. They use a call center that has no ability to answer any questions or connect you with anyone who has any authority. Horrible!

One of our tanks is quite a bit away from paved area and the driver takes great care in ensuring he doesn't damage the lawn.
