I was on a 12 hour road trip with 5 kids, when my check engine light came on. God was on my side and East River was the closest mechanic. I called, and a gentleman said to bring it on by. He ran diagnostics, offered us coffee and a bathroom break and sent us on our way with a slight repair and solution for free! Nowhere will you find a mechanic that will not take advantage of a woman traveling with kids and stranded - Especially during the holidays. Thank you SO much for your kindness!!! You have renewed my faith in people, sir.

Can’t leave a no star rating.\nI had East River Automotive press my new pistons onto the rods today and it did not go very well, the rods are not centered on the wrist pin.l, when the rod is centered in the middle of the piston as it would be installed in the engine one side of the wrist pin sticks outside the piston and the other side is inside. The piston. After taking them back he tried to fix the first one and put it in the press crooked/not centered and the piston cocked when he pressed it apart and put a ding/mark in my new piston and it’s still not centered on the wrist pin!\nThen he told me that was as close as he could get it and refused to try anymore.\nYou can’t buy just one piston, so that’s $300 down the **drain\nIf you want ****** work, this is the place.

I can't speak to their work because unfortunately, scheduling was not on my side in this situation, but I can attest to the customer service and kindness of the employees! I just spoke to Ricky in hopes of having a pre-purchase inspection done on a vehicle and he was so helpful with recommendations about where I could get help and he even shared some information about the vehicle and place I plan to purchase from. If their work is anything like their attitude, it will be great! If I am ever in the area and need help with a vehicle, I will be checking here first!
