Good salon and affordably priced. Sometimes my mani/pedis have taken 2 hours...it depends on the technician, but the finished nails are worth the time. Trendy Nails (now renamed to Ruby Nails) is really good at painting every corner and edge of your nails! They also have a great polish selection. My only caveat with this place is the specials pricing and when they offer the Wildcard discount. I used to come here weekly, but stopped after one of the women accused me of pretending to not know the rules. I would come on Mondays or Tuesday's when they had the $35 mani/pedi special and also a 10% Wildcard discount. However, on my last visit I was told the Wildcard discount did not apply to the mani/pedi special. So make sure you ask about the discount and price ahead of time, every single time, or save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere

I went to get a manicure from here during the weekend. The venue was very calm, clean and pleasant. I was greeted once I entered and was promptly seated at a table. They have a great selection of colors to choose from. The service was awesome! I did not feel as though they were rushing through my manicure at all. Definitely worth returning for another manicure!

My mani-pedi took over 2 hours and I had to leave in the middle because it was taking too long, much longer than was reasonable. Worse, even after I went back to finish it, my polish began completely peeling off after two days. When I went back for a touch up, the staff was very rude. Overall, it was overpriced (they got rid of the student discount) for something that didn't last and had poor service. Also, there are constantly people walking in who want manicures but are unable to get them that day because there are only two people working. If you want an appointment, you NEED to call ahead.

Had the best experience at Trendy Nail Boutique. I made an appointment after reading reviews but was still hesitant because it is a bit on the pricer side. I had Ana and she was AMAZING. My nails were a total mess and she dedicated a lot of time and effort in making sure that they were perfect. Loved the color and loved the experience. I scheduled a two week touch up with Ana and already cannot wait

I'm a summer resident in Evanston and have been going here for the past 2 years. I love this place. Do they charge more than other salons..Yes, but it's worth it. It's extremely clean, an almost zen-like spa atmosphere (no loud music or chatter), fresh pack of instruments for each manicure (no guessing about where they used them the last time), chick flicks, and topped off with a lovely shoulder and neck massage. Oh... and my regular manicure usually lasts close to two weeks. All of the technicians are very professional and well trained. I've been to many other nearby salons, but none compare to Trendy. Give it a try. You can save a little money if you take advantage of the Monday-Wednesday deal.

love this place. I've been coming here for years, and it's definitely a great manicure, super clean salon, and you can't beat the rom coms on constant replay!

When you can actually get service, they do a good job, and it's a good atmosphere. But they are always understaffed. I can't even remember how many times I call to make an appointment anywhere from a few hours to a few days in advance, and they flat out tell me no. It just happened again, I called to make an appointment in an hour, and was told that is impossible, not for at least 3 hours. I understand I'm calling on short notice, but then don't have a sign on your door that says walk ins welcome, and turn me down when I'm even giving you an hour heads up! And on occasions when I do just walk in, I'm often told no. This happens to me and my friends so frequently, we are ready to find someplace new.

Clean nail salon, although pricey (pricier than Los Angeles, which is saying something). I came with the fiance to redo my gel nails (OPI's My Vampire Is Buff is AMAZING). My Vampire Is Buff is known to have some sediment inside, but the person who did my nails didn't realize until after my manicure was over. She was able to take care of it, but kind of brushed aside the ones that she couldn't. I've had this color on my nails a few times before, and each person who has done my nails before has been very careful to make sure the sediment doesn't remain on my nail BEFORE the UV portion. A little disappointing for such a pricey manicure. Warning - as a previous reviewer mentioned, they do not tell you beforehand that it's $5 to take off old gel manicures. I confirmed with them when they proceed to take off the gel manicure without so much as a word. Seems to be one of the better nail salons in the area, so I'll be back when I need a quick fix when I'm in Evanston again.

Have been going here for almost a year and am now searching for new salon. Yes it is a clean place and yes they are mostly polite. However I made the mistake of doing a wax here and it was a total disaster!!!!! It must be a new service for them. The girl didn't know what she was doing and I could tell because of how she was so unsteady with the wax. Who pulls off wax paper off your skin so slowly?? I am now trying to treat bumps on my skin. Their prices are also so much higher than others. I am going to try another place on Davis. I will only go back here if I am really too tired to walk. Also, why does my heel still feel so rough after the pedicure?? Been like this now for the last 2 - 3 pedicures. I am officially done

Best manicure in Chicago! Such a clean and new nail salon. I'm so glad I gave it a try --left the salon leaving very happy. Mike did my manicure meticulously and beautifully. Their prices are great for the quality --just $12 for the Northwestern student discount and $15 otherwise. So worth it, I'll surely be a regular!

Sorry to say that in the last few years, this place has really gone downhill. I no longer go here because the staff I've encountered have been so unprofessional and clueless. The customer service and quality is just terrible compared to what it used to be. Sad!

A clean, pleasant nail place. I always call for an appointment (even if only an hour or two in advance) and usually am started right away. Loses a star because their pedicures are good but not great - so I'll always travel for pedis.

It was ok, but disappointing on several fronts. The pedicure did not include much exfoliation of the dead skin... my feet need more than 30 seconds of rubbing rough lotion on the feet. I asked if they could use a razor to get rid of the dead skin, but they said they didn't do that. I shouldn't have to pay for a pedicure and then go home and do my own attempts to get rid of dry skin. Not worth the money.

I decided to try this particular nail salon since other reviewers suggested that it is cleaners/more sanitary than others. I would definitely agree with that, and the technicians are gentle and don't tug or hurt the way some others do. Unfortunately, the nail polish application is not great. Several of my nails have bubbles and streaks. If it weren't for that, I'd rate this place much higher,
