Quite a few reviews about the owner being rude. I have to agree. We went in this evening with my kids who won a gift certificate through the walkers runners club and they were so excited to get their new shoes. The stores hours are different and with work and school I haven't been able to bring them in. The man said there's 8-10 people and there was a paper on the door that said 10 person max so we went out and waited and he then told us to come in after 3 people left. We walked in and my 1 year old son walked to the shoes on the rack as soon as you walked in and moved one sandal and I bent down to fix it and pick him up and the owner I'm guessing got all bent out if shape and said yeah let's not mess up my display so I told my 3 year old to stand by the door and told him the sizes we needed then decided to leave because I didn't like the man's attitude and how we were treated. My kids are not unruly and rude and are well behaved in public for a 1, 3, 5, and 6 year old so I'm not going to support a buisness and buy items somewhere where we don't feel welcome.

Stopped into On the Run and Walk to pick up some real deal running shoes as I am training for a 5k and eventually a 1/2. The man working was super nice and brought me out several pairs of shoes to try after looking at my feet. I had my eye on a pair of Hoka's before stopping in that I saw at a chain store in the mall and I ended up getting those but at a much better deal (at on the run and walk). Before cashing out he gave me gu sample to try which I thought was really sweet. I 100% made the right choice to shop locally. I even called in for some advice on shin splints and he didn't hesitate to give me some pointers. If you're a walker or a runner or need some good quality shoes/sandals, definitely check this place out.

I used to shop here a couple times a year for running shoes and had good service from the owner. In the past few years, the owner has developed a bad attitude and an unwillingness to help. I was dismissed by him two Saturdays in a row, first my daughter needing Traci shoes, and then me wanting to try out some Hokas. Rather than bringing some shoes to try on, he seemed to almost argue with me for asking. Very bizarre. I finally said, “So, you don’t want to help me find a pair of Hokas?”He replied, “Well, we are pretty busy today.”I went to the mall, experienced great customer service, and found the perfect Hokas. I’m going back in the spring to buy another pair of hiking shoes. Too bad for Dorsey that he didn’t want my business. Never entering that place again.

I bought a pair of Hokas here around Thanksgiving. Upon purchase, the salesman said there was a 30 day window to return the shoes or exchange them. The shoes, however, did not work well with my feet and I now have an Achilles injury. When I called (three times - only for the phone to send me to voicemail each time), the person who called me back said he couldn’t take lightly used shoes (under 20 miles run in them) and refund them or else he would be “out of business”. He also noted that the model of shoes that I bought are the most popular shoes by Hoka which makes me wonder why he couldn’t resell them for a discount if they are as popular as he claims. So be warned if you go here that if you don’t absolutely love the shoes or test them out at Dick’s or someplace else that you can’t get your money back for a policy that is apparently ambiguous.

Took my dad in to get fitted for some better fitting shoes - he has arthritis and this place was recommended for him to try. Walked in and the guy working that day was too busy talking to his boyfriend to help us out. Once he finally acknowledged us he was in too much of a rush to let us explain what we were looking for. Brought three pairs of shoes out, dropped them and then rushed back to more chatting with his boyfriend. Fast forward a couple minutes and a female customer walks in and he’s all about helping her out and talking to her. If he’s the owner I’m shocked his business is still open. Needless to say I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to this store. Customer service was terrible and the guy was too busy talking with his boyfriend than to help people that needed it. If you wanna socialize at work maybe he should take up working in a call center where he can talk all day long.

My husband and I, who have been running for over 10 years, buy all of our shoes here. We shopped here even when we lived in California for 6 of those years. The customer service is unparalleled to anywhere else. While our needs have changed through the years, we are always fitted with shoes that fit our individual needs.

If you're looking for a variety of shoes for different issues, this is the place. They offer 3 different max support shoes for women. It's basically a running store which I wasn't there for. I explained my issues. He made suggestions. Brought me out my choices. Quick and easy.

The gentleman was very helpful in recommending shoes that would benefit my plantar fascitis! And his prices are better than online! Great local store
