The staff here took really good care of my girlfriend when she had to have emergency surgery on her appendix. Dr. Grimm was a great surgeon.

LIARS AND MONEY THIEFS!!!! NO help!!!! Only place ever you go for help and get booted from the patient list. Only continues to get worse. My last time I ever set foot in the hospital. I'm very thankful to live in proximity to WVU Medicine at Camden Clark. My Gastroenterologist, Dr. Mohammed Barakat, is as professional, knowledgeable and as capable as any specialist I've ever worked with and am thankful for the guidance and care he has been (and is still) providing, as I work through some intricate medical challenges. I've utilized their Same-Day Surgery unit on a few occasions and have found a consistent rhythm to how they operate (no pun intended). This unit is a well-oiled machine if I ever saw one! All personnel seem to share great attitudes, genuine happiness in their job, and a priority of patient needs and understanding. I hope to never need a hospital again, but it's nice to know that I have an exceptional facility with caring professionals waiting to be of service within arms reach at WVU Medicine at Camden Clark.

Zero stars for placing impossible barriers to receive adequate mental health care treatment. I've been hit with $341 "facility fees" that insurance doesn't cover in addition to my normal amount (between my copay and insurance payout is $321 per session, which is much higher than the $165 average) each time I see my therapist. The same therapist I have seen for 11 years. Who can afford an EXTRA out-of-pocket $682 per month? This is pure greed and ethically abhorrent.

Honestly I wouldn't even give the one star but it's only way to tell the ppl the truth about this horrible hospital. For one my dad came in with pneumonia and they gave him several infections and put him on a ventilator a week later they are telling oh we can do trach an save his life then next day they won't. Not to mention they treated my gf very rude.accusing her of taking illegal drugs and snorting when all she was taking was antibiotics and tylenol in prescription bottles and not snorting anything. they treated her like she was a drug addicted homeless bum escorted her off property in the rain made her stand under train bridge as my dad is literally being killed by them an then causing us to have to leave as we watch him demise. Unless you have a death wish don't go. They also caused bed sores on my dad. They are starving him to death

My mother was a patient at Camden-Clark hospital in July of this year. I was really impressed with the staff that took care of my mom, you see she could be quite contrary and non-compliant but the staff took the time to reiterate her care numerous times with compassion, care and concern, and never losing their patience.Every employee that I came in contact with from floor staff, giftshop, to the cafeteria, to the to the reception staff all were very kind, helpful, and above all smiling.

The nurses (like all nurses in the US) do a terrible job at taking care of patients. Somehow, they make this their strong point. Demand better for your healthcare. Hold nurses accountable.

This is not a hospital, it is a butcher shop. I personally know of nearly a dozen people in the last 5 years who have gone here for relatively minor surgeries and come out worse than they were before the surgery. The most recent being my father who went in for gallbladder surgery and nearly died from complications and infections. He has been suffering for 4 months because of their screwup and had to go to Cleveland to have another surgery to repair the damage they caused. I wouldn't trust this place to remove a hangnail.

My dad was brought to ER by ambulance ( magistrate told us to call EMT and bring him to Camden Clark). He is violent, threatening to kill himself, etc....he has dementia w lewy bodies. My mom is POA and nurse was asking him questions....of course he's going to say something different because he doesn't know where he is let alone what he said 2 min ago! There are ZERO HR representatives available during the night or weekend....this is terrible patient care! EMT even told nurses why they were bringing him in, and they were ignored.

this is where i lost my little girl in 2021 and did two inpaitent psych stays.I had a late term miscarriage at 19 weeks and 4 days. My body had begun passing her the morning of November 2, 2021 and I began hemmoraging around 9pm that night.I lost almost a pint and a half of blood, and was unconcious until 11am on the third of november. The nurse on shift at the time had went through my purse to get my wallet and had taken the ultrasound photos of my daughter. every last one of them.upon discharge five days later, i was never given the mementos that a woman who miscarries is. I left with nothing and was brushed off when i asked for them. For the not letting your religion interfere with your job status, this hospital sucks at it. i was judged left and right by all the nurses who looked after me. the only one who didn't judge me was the ambulantory OB on call and the doctor who preformed the D&E.for the two psych stays this is the ratings:FOOD: 9/10. they let you choose what you want (and as someone who is autistic and has food sensory issues, this was a blessing) but didn't really explain to you that you had to include everything that you wanted each meal.ROOM: (stay 1) 8/10. Would have been better if the room wasn't 100 degrees the entire eight day stay. also the airvents smelled like a rat or something died in them. (stay 2) 9/10. Would Have been better if they didn't judge me for being transgender and didn't attempt to force me to be in a room with someone.0. could have been better if they had 1:1 therapy as a required thing. group therapy doesnt do anything for suicidal people except make them feel guilty for seeing it as their only way out.MEDS: they need to stick to the selected times. 3/10. i got my meds too late multiple times and had breakdowns.0. this place sucks at communication with the patients on if their ready for discharge. I think that they honestly go off of how many days the patients insurance will pay for anymore.

I’m not one to complain, especially so publicly. But...I delivered my baby back in December at @WVU Medicine Camden Clark. In the hours following delivery, l could not feel or move either of my legs. I was told it was “just my epidural wearing off” and “give it 24 hours”. Twenty-four hours later I still couldn’t feel or move my right lower leg/foot.While in the hospital, they initially tried to discharge me the day after, with no tests, no diagnosis of what was happening to me, or notification to my OB. They eventually had anesthesiology, neurology, and PT evaluate me who all had never seen what was happening. I was repeatedly told that it would just get better, with no explanation or diagnosis.I was discharged a couple days later, unable to walk or carry my newborn, care for my toddler, and with no diagnosis of what was happening to me, no followups scheduled (a little stressful, wondering if you’re ever going to be able to walk again ).I filed a grievance about the incident and received the response that they had “addressed my concerns but found no errors.”When I pressed CCMC on this injury occurring in their hospital they refused to take any accountability or offer assistance. I initially assumed the injury was related to my epidural but CCMC (still unsure) responded that it was due to my positioning during labor. I asked if the L&D nurses should have known correct positioning to avoid injury and was told it “wasn’t in their scope to know that.” I even further generalized what was happening, saying that this injury occurred within their hospital, to which I was told “we don’t know that.”I walked into the hospital, I should have been able to walk out. In the weeks following my delivery I had to use a walker, I couldn’t do anything for myself. Even when I could finally walk (around 4 weeks postpartum) I had to hold onto the wall, to furniture to stabilize myself. I couldn’t carry my newborn until he was over a month old (something I will never get back). I wasn’t able to dorsiflex until about three months following it. I had to BEG the hospital for a neurologist to see me sooner than two months out, and even then, they provided no diagnosis or treatment plan. I had to self refer to physical therapy.Nine months later, I still have no diagnosis from CCMC, and while I am able to walk, I still have a ton of pain with no end in sight. So let this be a cautionary tale to any women debating on where to have their baby. 10/10 would not recommend CCMC.

Nurses are great, doctors are ok, staff in the cafeteria is rude and lazy. not only have I been shamed for how much food I wanted (im pregnant) but cashier (older woman) was very rude because I didn't ring up my items for her. Didn't realize it was my responsibility to do her job. Have also overheard another worker (older woman) being extremely rude to a younger female worker because she was a few minutes late. Service staff is unbelievably rude and unprofessional.
