Brought my 2023 Sierra 2500 HD Duramax in for service - oil change and DEF tank level sensor not reading correctly. Oil change was not an issue. DEF level sensor tech bulletin 22-NA-150 was used to recalibrate the sensor. Last step in the bulletin is to fill the tank. It either wasn’t filled like it should have been or the level sensor is further off than before I brought it in. I’ll know for sure when I fill it up myself. They also performed a “partial” tailgate recall without my knowledge. What was done was to disable the push button on the tailgate so the only way to open the tailgate is with key fob or button on the dash. Checked operation when I got home - tailgate wouldn’t open either way. Called them and told them I’d be back the next day at 4:00 for them to fix it. I was told that’s too late in the day (service is open until 6:00) and I’d have to set up an appointment. I troubleshot the issue myself and got the tailgate to work.

I called in 2 weeks ago about ordering a part for the recall on my vehicle, and the lady that took my call said she put it in to be ordered. I called back today to see what was going on with the part and the gentleman that answered checked and the part hadn’t even been ordered yet. So they supposedly ordered it today. I now have to wait to see if they ordered it now. I’ll call back in a week and see if it was ordered. I’m highly upset that this happened because we are going on vacation in a week and I do not want to drive 500 miles knowing I have an airbag that can deploy at any time with children in my vehicle.
