Decent selection. Worker didn't even acknowledge we were there. He was paying quite a bit of attention to his cell phone though.

Great staff ready to answer any question. A variety of Mountaineer gear and accessories. If they don't have it they will ship it to you. Just wish they had an online store for people out of state.

I moved to Virginia, but follow Mountaineer Zone on Facebook. I fell in love with the sweatshirt material throws, my older one is worn out so, I ordered from them via phone and had one shipped. I received it within a couple days of ordering and LOVE it!! Great store and staff. When I'm feeling homesick, I look at their page. Take me home ....

Disappointing. I am new to the area and was looking forward to seeing all this store had to offer. I had my small dog with me and read all the signs on the door to make sure pets were not banned (there is a Petco a few doors down so I cannot be the only one to ever wander in with a pet). I was able to shop for a few minutes and noticed that the prices were somewhat higher than expected. I was informed by an associate that pets were not allowed in the store and replied that I had not seen a sign indicating so but said I'd leave. On the way out I saw someone enjoying their Starbucks beverage and they were not asked to leave or to take their drink outside even though there is 2 signs on the door saying no food or drinks allowed. My dog and I went to the Hallmark store, to Bed, Bath, & Beyond and Target and purchased items I could've gotten here. Well, maybe on the plus side, I paid less for them at the other stores so the young man did save me money. Maybe the owner should invest in a sign indicating pets were banned and look at their overall markup in relation to their competition in the same parking lot. I may be back in to visit (without my dog) but will definitely do some $$$ comparison to other retailers close by.

I'm very disappointed. I drove six hours to make sure I'd get here when the store opens so I could make a stop on my way further south. It's now fifteen minutes after the store should've opened. I'm not the only person who was here waiting. Another vehicle from Ohio, one from Maryland, and another from Kansas. Four large groups who've gotten tired of waiting. Very sad.

I bought a hat, as a gift, but was informed that the recipient would not like or wear the hat. Two days after purchasing, with all of the tags and stickers in tact and my receipt in my had, I went to return it, only to be told that they do not do returns (as the young cashier politely pointed to the 8 1/2 x 11 discreet sign that states they do not accept returns). The clerk proceeded to feed me a story about the no return policy being due to the type of cash register they have and not being able to track things ... really? I have a two day old receipt in my hand ... how much tracking is needed? I was not aware that a business had to have state if the art equipment to track incoming, outgoing and/or returned merchandise. How many other places do not take returns? Needless to say I won't be back to purchase any more over priced WVU items.
