One of my favorite road marathons. Tough and hilly but with great support!

This was my first year and I thought everything was great! I tend to be near the end of the pack and was a little worried about figuring out which way I was supposed to go. The course was super clearly marked and the volunteers at the turns were wonderful!!

Hot and hilly, just as it claims! Great volunteers and staff, and lots of fluid stations. Good way to see the neighborhoods around WVU.

This was my favorite marathon hands down.. Plenty of police, fire, and EMS to keep the course safe and direct the runners... I absolutely LOVED how involved the WVU students were.. All of the volunteers were super friendly.. there was one part (I think around mile 24 or 25) where there probably should have been someone manning the intersection because it looked like you could go one of 2 ways.. And it was an added bonus that me crossing the finish line made the news.. I'll definitely run this race again.

This is my second year participating in this event (Mountain Mama 8k last year and Morgantown Thirteener this year). Seems to be improving each year. Definitely a challenging course--very hilly, but great! The three races brought out participants at every level and I really appreciate that. I'm a back of the packer, but I love seeing the more elite runners from our area participate in a local race. Pros Very good communication from coordinators with emails and Facebook posti

City race with a small town feel! Friendly staff, college student volunteers, friendly community. We had drivers delayed in blocked or slowed race day traffic cheer, turn up their music and beep and wave for us. Rolling hills take you through neighborhoods, along the highway, and beautiful paved trails along the river. Good course support, some fantastic mountain views, and a fun finish area with live bands.
