Absolutely LOVE this little shop. Cutest home decor & the best part is it's a local small business! Much more of a cozy feel than corporate stores!

I took the mud painting class in February. Well worth the experience. Had never been to Homestead House before and didn't know what to expect. Very nice shop and really enjoyed the class. I had only experience with milk painting, which turns out well, but takes much longer and you have less control because the milk paint sometimes chips in large areas. The milk paint I used came in a powder, so you had to mix yourself. I much prefer the mud paint. Just a light sanding to prepare wood. The mud paint is thicker, but goes on smoothly and dries much quicker. I did a wood shelf and was able to put on two coats and the final wax in class and still finished early. I had another shelf at home that I did milk paint on, and because of the drying time of paint and liquid wax, the process took 3 days. I will be going to buy mud paint for sure over the milk paint.

Very nice place to shop. Great country style gifts, something for everyone. Friendly staff to help you find what you need. And a major plus for someone like me Free gift wrap

This was the cutest store in town. Very creative, friendly and welcoming. It's smells wonderful. She even offers craft classes. I can't wait to come back. I plan to pick a weekend to make a craft.

I just attended my first mud paint class and I really enjoyed it. I took my own children's size wood chairs. The owner was so knowledgeable and made the entire process very easy. Would definitely do it again.

If you have not been to this place you are missing out! Such cute stuff at such great prices. Went there looking to fill a blank wall and the lady that runs the store was more than willing to help me mix match some different items she had. Very nice people! Highly recommend

Great primitive store, I've never walked out without purchasing something. Good inventory and prices are very reasonable. The owner is super nice which makes it even better! She remembered my mother and law and I and we'd only gone a few times before.
