We have purchased an expensive dog food for several years from Exotic Jungle. They have a deal that you purchase 10 bags (74.99 per bag) and receive the 11th one free. They keep a card of each purchase. We were due for our free bag last month. When we went to the store our purchase card was missing. The sales person apologized and said the owner had some cards with her. So we paid for another bag. This month we went back and the card is still missing. Needless to say we purchased a bag somewhere else. The owner yelled at the sales person for calling her on her time off and said she can't just give away food. No problem. We will not purchase anything else there.

Very healthy fish and alot of great choices. Best prices as well overall can't beat this place. ?Edit. I come here alot if you don't see a species of an animal you want ask. They can't possible carry every species in max quantities. Also Tuesdays they get delivers so be patient because alot of people come in and they have to handle the deliveries and customers with small staff. Tuesday isn't the only delivery just the biggest.

Place had ALOT of stuff. So much it was in the aisles. Very good customer service tho. The little kitty in there was very friendly and the birds was very talkative. Pearl kept saying Hello to me.

Fish looked very healthy. There was a great selection of tropical fish. And, the customer service was great! Worth the 2 hour drive ?

Our favorite local pet store has a great selection of reptiles and amphibians, all kinds of small animals and a store full of equipment for just about every animal. We have a tortoise, hedgehog, and tree frogs from them, all of which are healthy and thriving.

Keeps reptiles in horrible conditions. Ball pythons, and Leopard Geckos underweight/sickly looking. Over weight Bearded Dragons. No water, or hiding spots for the animals. Over priced. Wasn’t greeted as I walked in, or was asked if I needed help with anything. Support a local breeder. Don’t mill shop.

Friendly and very knowledgeable staff! Prices are decent. Animals walk around the store and you can interact with them ♡

If I could give zero Stars I would just for the simple fact that I tried to call today August 22, 2023 @ about 1:20 pm. When the dude answer the phone I asked him if they had springtails and he's straight hung up on me... now every time I try to call it says the party is unable to take my call so what they do block me because I asked him if they had springtails for sale?? they are a pet store correct??

Great selection of merchandise but the store was FILTHY!! The poor animals cages were barren, dirty and nasty. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but I felt terrible for the animals. Employees were nice.

The staff here was very helpful and informative. We adopted 2 adorable rats. The prices are reasonable when compared to other stores and online. I would definitely shop here again.

I wish I had something better to say. The owner is rude, cold ..unapologetic for her lack of communication. Treated me poorly after contacting her about fees added on to my bill I was unaware of until I seen my checking account. She said it is posted on the door. Well I hate to say every square inch of the window and door has some sort of sign advertisement of some sort which to someone walking in can be overwhelming. I was new to the store and now that her true colors come out with her nasty disposition I won't be returning. I explained to her some kindness ,understanding and being upfront with charges would go a long way in keeping her doors open despite her believe of hiding and charging someone behind their back.

I stopped in today for the first time and all expectations were met. Nowhere did I find evidence of unethical or negligent treatment of the animals, though the appearance of the store gave me questions at first, but I realized that's just because the building and flooring is just old.One of the best tests for how a place treats its animals is the condition of their Betta Fish, which was stellar in this case. Not only was their selection and quality amazing, but these fish had at least 4-6x the amount of water that you'd find in most retailers. These fish displayed alertness and health in a way that made me want to make the 3-hour drive if I ever want a betta in the future, because these were the best I've ever seen. The only two parrots I saw seemed content and inquisitive as well, with clean cages-clean cages and tanks were the norm in this store. They had other awesome fish as well, though I was disappointed to find no Koi fish, which is my hobby niche. They had some large iridescent sharks which impressed me a lot to see in person. They also had a great selection of angelfish in multiple, sometimes enormous, tanks. I noted golden Severums, plecos, many cichlids, oscars, some tetras, goldfish, catfish, and many other kinds.Their reptile room was pretty cool, especially with the mood provided by the three enormous free-roaming tortoises. Yet they're kept in the reptile room by a low wall for their own well-being so they don't get too cold- they have the reptile room at a higher temperature for all the creatures, which I thought an efficient and novel way of doing things. The enclosures all seemed appropriately sized for their inhabitants, including tortoises, turtles, and snakes, which are commonly kept in areas much too small- but these were rightly sized in both area and height. I will say that around a third seemed a bit austere, could do with some decoration. Also, they had a great selection of uncommon reptiles. Again, everything was devoid of feces, even the floor where the tortoises roamed, and the animals that should be active were active (though most species here are normally sedentary).I didn't have time to look at all the products, but they had a ton of equipment and accoutrements for fishkeeping and land/aqua scaping among other things. I feel like you would pretty much find anything you need for whichever animals you bought here. The one thing I'll say is that the floor-planning and clutter was just a tad messy- you know, a ladder here, a broom there. Not the best look, and the aisles could be arranged better and organized. And the floor was just kind of old, but not really important other than appearance. Having stacks of dog/cat/pet food blocking the front windows kind of makes the space seem dark.Overall, if I ever am back in the area I will be spending much more time in this store! All the animals seemed well-taken care of, the store was well-supplied, and had a great selection of normal and rare animals and varieties (again, those incredible betta fish). Just needs a bit of love given to its appearance, which I feel like could scare some people away with first impressions. Also, expect a smell like animals and dog food. It's a small business pet store that doesn't have freaking industrial air purifiers to make things smell good.

Tons of fake “good” reviews written by themselves. Truth is it has potential to be a cool place IF the staff and owner knew anything about animal care and put knowledge into practice. The name “exotic” is misleading. Cages and tanks are all overcrowded and filthy. Most of the animals, apart from their cats, appear ill. They even had a tortoise on sale that has been dead for a while, considering it looked mummified with literally no eyes.Your best bet is to buy at critter cottage(locally owned), PetSmart or Petco if you are in the Morgantown area and want a healthy animal.Less than ten minutes walking around before my family and I said nope and went elsewhere.Good luck!
