I called ACT Auto Repair in the morning to ask about getting a car inspected before buying. Linda was incredibly helpful and said to come in anytime except during lunch. I brought the car over, and Chad conducted the inspection.
Chad was thorough and honest, walking me through the key issues I needed to know about. He pointed out that the front brake pads and rotors needed replacement, along with two back tires.
Initially, I was unsure about buying the car, but after Chad reassured me it was a solid choice despite these issues, I felt more at ease. Unfortunately, the small local dealership agreed to fix only one of the problems and didn’t even acknowledge the other. As a result, I decided against purchasing the car.
However, when I'm ready to buy in the future, I’ll definitely return to ACT for assistance. It's hard to find an honest and trustworthy auto shop these days, but I’ve found one! Thank you, Chad and Linda, for all your help—it's greatly appreciated!

I highly recommend ACT Auto. I have used this shop for a variety of services including oil change, brakes/roters, diagnostics… I went in today for diagnostics and am very pleased with their service. ACT has never tried to upsell unneeded services and services that are rendered are much cheaper than other area shops. I trust their judgement and expertise!

This place is my go to anytime I have problems with my vehicles, Linda the shop manager was very nice and got us in as fast as possible. They have never let me down when it came to repairs and they charge a pretty reasonable price as well. I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else than ACT!

I scheduled an appointment 5 days in advance for an alignment and when I got there, the guy at the desk told me that they wouldn’t be available for 2.5 hours and to go somewhere else.
No attempt to reschedule in advance, no option for drop off, and no apology.
What’s the point of making an appt if they don’t honor it? Will not be coming back and it’s one of the least professional experiences I’ve had.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Do not go here. I called them to see if they would do engine work on my car, they said they would. No problem, so I got it towed there. I get a call a couple days later saying they won’t do the work, simply because they don’t want to. Thank you for wasting my time and my money! Also the lady that answers the phone is incredibly rude, she needs replaced ASAP.
I REPEAT. DO. NOT. GO. HERE.

They were great! I took my car in due to a rattling noise, it was a very simple fix that they diagnosed it immediately and fixed the issue. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were passing through West Virginia today, when we experienced tire issues. We came across ACT Auto Repair. Linda, the shop manager listened to our concern, and assisted us. Wesley, one of the technicians, diagnosed the issue our tire and/or rim was experiencing.
Wesley was able to remedy our issue. In conclusion, our rim just needed a new valve stem. Linda informed us that because it was a minute part, there was no charge. We were greatly appreciative for their service and gesture. We left a token of appreciation to them for it. If you live in this area, please support this shop. If you are stopping through the town like us, in need of immediate service, look no further than ACT Auto Repair.

ACT Auto Repair is amazing! Being from out of state for school I panicked when my car started making loud noises from the muffler. I made an appointment with ACT and they were able to fix it within the hour which was amazing. If I have any other car problems when in morgantown, I know where to go! The staff and service were all great!

They were amazing! Had car trouble driving through they looked at my car and worked me through exactly what was wrong. They are honest good people who want to take care of you while not breaking your bank. They are life savers and I don’t know how things could have been without them.

Thank you ACT Auto!!! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND this place!!! BEST PLACE I HAVE TAKEN a VEHICLE too. My car is driving amazing now, and all my engine lights are off for the first I can remember!!! I have always dreaded and hated taking a vehicle in to get fixed...it gives me anxiety (as a single female that knows nothing about vehicles, I feel like I can take a vehicle to 10 different places, be told 10 totally different things, and whoever ends up fixing it, half the time the problem isn't solved and I'm in the same situation I started with), but this place is great, and I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND them. They are very honest, fast, and they like cats:) They GO WELL ABOVE & BEYOND (filled my tires with air, offered & gave me lunch, looked to see if the engine lights went off after things were fixed...lots of little things I really appreciate), and I am glad I found this place!!!
