I forgot to take a picture of the actual campground, but this is the gravel road leading up to it!This site has about 6 spots close together, with picnic tables and fire pits. There is a portapotty on site, but it’s the cleanest I’ve ever used.I was the only person to stay here and it’s free ?Plus it’s only 20min from the iconic mill in Babcock state park!

It’s free! No amenities and not too many campsites in the area, so it wasn’t horribly loud with lots of people. We were able to snag a spot on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend too. I’d go back if in the area again. Starlink would work here. Some cell worked with a booster. AT&T worked best.

At the top of a mountain peak, so there is a nice breeze that you need in the summer for sure. West Virginia is very humid. The only facility is a porta potty, fine by me. I am always prepared with water and my own toilet! This is a free campsite. There are 10 spots and they are not on top of each other. They have picnic tables and fire pits.If you do come here, be prepared. Including bear spray.

Nice little campground, firepit and picnic table at each site. The sites are really close to each other though. The stars are incredibly bright here, everything is just beautiful. Great hiking. No restrooms

This campground was a blessing in disguise. We took the first time trip to the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve and looked for a great camping spot.Unfortunately, we didn't really find anything that accommodated our needs. Granted we're on the louder side and we wanted to have a good time. After going through most of the parks campgrounds... we had no luck. We finally came across this spot and it was exactly what we needed. Later in the evening the stars were absolutely magnificent and honestly the best I've ever seen in my life. I know that you will love this place because it's secluded, beautiful and there's GREAT off-road trails nearby. If you decide to Kayak any of these rivers... bring an inflatable raft/duckie, life jacket and a helmet is optional. Don't be like us and bring plastic recreational kayaks ?. These rivers are serious. Be safe and prepared! ?No biking or hiking trails here yet at least.I miss this spot already. I live in PA only 30 minutes from WV... But let me tell you, this part of WV where I come from.... is a joke in comparison to where we stayed. Enjoy it ,??☑️

As previously mentioned, this CG was a blessing as most if the others were glommed on, perhaps by locals. Just a hunch feeling. This one only had two other campers. As it happened, we went out for the day, site seeing. Great day. Rainy, but that was expected. Upon return, tent was fine. Not messed with. But as we waited for a break in the weather, up the backwoods trail came Revvy McReverson(every 30 feet) in his 4WD jakkked up truccck. With his 60 yr old lookin girlfriend. Followed by his 4 wheeler friend. Circled round, drove across the center island(not a crime, but kinda rednecky and certainly not nicest of driving etiquette). Parked next to us in an almost creepy manner, stayed for a minute debating whether to stay....or who knows? Then exited. But it was enough to leave an uneasy feeling, so we pulled up stakes and went to a more peaceful setting. So, CG? As described, peaceful, non river, nice.Locals unfortunately these 3, notso nice. I say locals because they didnt have any Camp gear with them.So......at yer own risk i suppose.?

Wonderful place for peace and quiet !!!! Primitive camping at the best !!!! We have been there many times. And usually the only campers. Just what a person needs to get away from people places and modern day life ?
