About Sandstone Visitor Center
Sandstone Visitor Center is a free exhibit that welcomes visitors with friendly staff who are very knowledgeable about the area. Guests appreciate the emphasis on sustainability and the helpful ranger who provides great information on hikes in the Grandview area of New River Gorge National Park. The center offers a gift shop with various price ranges and a nice floor. Boondocking visitors can fill water jugs at the center. Visitors enjoy the staff and the welcoming place, making it a must see stop before exploring the park.

Stopped right after the government shut down. Awesome place. Super nice people. Very knowledgeable about the area and a treat to talk to. Love the floor.

Friendly staff that were very helpful! It's a free exhibit, so it's not necessary to purchase tickets. Also has a lovely gift shop with various price ranges. A must see!!

Great visitor center. I especially appreciate the emphasis they place on sustainability. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Perfect place to kick-off your New River Gorge National Park visit!
