United bank is a joke.My husband and I got a loan through them for our car.I take care of all the bills and pay everything. The car was in my husbands name , but he called up and gave authorization for them to talk to his wife.Well yesterday they were more then happy to talk to me when I paid 27,075.57 to pay off my car .Since I had to do 2 transactions due to their system allowing only $25000 per transaction. I was told by the rep to call back to make sure it was applied correctly and account closed.So I call back today and the woman will not tell me anything and says we need to speak to your husband. I said he called prior and gave authorization for me to speak on the account. She puts me on hold and then says we'll you were given wrong information.I said I literally called yesterday and also paid over $27000 and now you won't speak to me .So my husband is at work and now has to call to deal with this .This literally makes no sense at all .Horrible customer service each time I have had to call .I will never use them again for any loans or bank with them

I’ve had an account with United Bank for years now and rarely use it, but in a pinch today I needed some documents notarized so I came inside. Hunter was super nice and they were even nice enough to print the documents rather than me going to Office Depot. I’ll keep my account here open thanks to their kindness and the convenience. Thank you!

Run! The WORST bank ever! Not to mention they rearrange your transactions constantly so good luck keeping track of your spending if you’re using online banking like a normal person.

This branch is in falling waters West Virginia near the Walmart. This bank is the worst...my employer sends out direct deposits at 12am on Thursday. I get mine at 4am. Then on black Friday, guess who didn't get payed...me...cause the bank couldn't figure it out! Bunch of idiots!! They like to purposely overdraft your account. So when I would get gas AND HAD $$$ IN MY ACCOUNT it would normally take a week and a few days to clear, oh but be down to only $5 and then buy a soda at work on a Wednesday night at 11pm...you bet that gas I got on Monday was dropping in to overdaft my account. This is why I know my pay begain to get posted later and later. I keep a balance on my phone and I hardly ever overdrafted my account so they had to get really sneaky about it...but I caught on to them holding back payments and then green lighting them first before they'd post my paycheck. Then when I told them to close the account and it was a $0.00 they didn't do it. Left it open and then changed me a $8.00 maintenance fee. Oh and if that's not enough....it overdrafted my account. $5 every day it was in the negative. They so kindly sent me a letter two months later. I was signed up for emails and text...but nothing letting me know. I'll never pay it. If you bank here you are an idiot! If you work here you are a lier and thief...I hope you die a long and painful death!

Was very disappointed in this branch today. I tried to cash a check for my 16yr old son and felt like a criminal. The teller asked for my ID after I provided my checkbook and the check which I consigned. After two other employees came out to the window the teller came back and said that she could deposit it in his savings account but couldn't cash it without his ID, which she did not ask for in the first place. It was disappointing and inconvenient. The Foxcroft location does a great job, but I'd like to feel that I can get service in all locations without being told,"sorry but I don't recognize you".

Although proximity banking is convenient, do not bank here. If you must indulge in consumer banking use a more reliable and friendly company. This is only from experience in the Martinsburg WV branches however.
