Friendly, polite, and helpful staff. The doctor was very informative and caring. So happy to have found this place! We moved to WV over a year ago and have finally found our furever vet?❤️

I've been bringing my dog here for years and they always do a great job for a reasonable price. He gets very nervous in new places and around new people but the staff handles him perfectly.

Kathleen, Tiffany and Dr. Shamblin recently provided professional and compassionate critical veterinary care to our wonderful basset hound Fiona! During these post-covid pandemic times, it is extremely difficult to find responsive urgent veterinary care, especially for emergency life-saving procedures. Fiona needed complex help quickly, and after we frantically contacted many vet practices in the Tri-State WV-VA-MD area, only Dr. Shamblin and her awesome Shenandoah Veterinary Hospital team took time out of their overwhelming schedule to respond to Fiona's medical needs. Our family will be forever grateful, and we know our loving dog Fiona got the finest veterinary care possible on literally a moment's notice.

I’ve always gotten good care here for my 4 pets. It’s obvious that they’re very busy every day but it seems they make the effort to get my pets seen when they can. Wait times aren’t bad before an appointment.

I recently had my 14 year old pupper put down, and they treated him with a ton of respect during the process. The staff were very sympathetic and caring, explained the process and what to expect. The paw print of Leo is going to be with me forever - I got it tattooed on my arm the other week. The price was worth it, but I was quoted over the phone a lesser amount. They also didn't ask me if my account information was up to date so if I had not called, I never would have received his print. I asked to just pick up because of me being paranoid, and was able to do so; made me so happy with the card. (I had not been there in years and had moved since, plus a new phone number.)

We have had excellent experiences as we have transitioned from our old vet and added two pets to our family. Easy scheduling and friendly staff who are working so hard to keep up when short staffed. Our pets are well loved when we come in.

The veterinarians are very knowledgeable and I’m impressed. I have a cat that hates the vet to the point that he gets very aggressive. They accommodate him with no problem. I have another cat that was diagnosed with a heart problem and they have helped me every step of the way. I have trouble giving him his pills and the front desk person explained “compounding medications” to me and how it might make it easier on my 10 year old cat. There are a few front desk people that are not on top of things, but I love this place.

My heart is broken and I am still grieving the loss of my beloved rescue dog, who experienced a heart attack while getting her nails trimmed last week. Despite the fact that she was in serious need of attention, the staff downplayed the condition to a single tongue bite and lectured us about not having a current heartworm exam or not using their preferred treatment method. They also kept her in the backroom longer than needed and kept us in the dark about what was actually gonig on.They didn't have her nails trimmed, but wanted to poke a needle in her for a heartworm exam which wouldn't improve her condition whatsoever, but compliance with procedures in this clinic is far more important than the animal's life or wellbeing at the moment.Nervous about what they have done to cause an obviously emergency situation, they prescribed trazadone for the next visit, for us to completely put her out before getting her in for a nail trim.in other words, the owner is expected to do all the work. I can trim her nails myself if I manage to get her so comfortable with the calming meds, which is another thing that's treated as a favor when prescribed these days. There was a time when the clinics would take more responsibilities, sedating a nervous dog and doing a simple task was a basic requirement, without lecturing the owners about their long list of responsibilities to ease staff workload. For my poor terrified dog who had never shown any aggression in her entire short life, - I did her nails myself many times - it was a horrible experience to be treated so harshly and without any compassion, and I am so sorry i wasn't there to stop them. ❤️ We witnessed her death right in front of us shortly after bringing her home. There is no amount of crying that can ease this pain.I called so many mobile vets and grooming services to avoid getting her out of the house before driving her to the clinic. if your dog is sick and especially has a weak heart, be careful about letting a stranger handle her even for grooming. I wish I could turn back time and let her live out her daily routines in peace as she sat on her favorite couch, the only place she felt safe and secure. I miss her so much. ❤️

They were able to bring my dog in for a checkup a few weeks before the scheduled date. Everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly and always makes my dogs feel at ease. I’m so happy to have found this vet when we moved to the area
