“We bought an A-frame cabin with beautiful windows, but the seal had failed on one at the top. It was large, an irregular shape, and really high off the ground, so I was shocked when Berkeley Glass gave us a really reasonable quote to replace the pane. It was fabricated and installed in about 2-3 weeks, and the team was in constant communication with us.

If that doesn't already deserve 5 stars, I was admittedly a PITA customer after the install, questioning if things had been properly caulked etc because we had an influx of bugs and another contractor blamed the window install. My rep was patient with me, escalated to a supervisor who was also kind and took time to explain the work that had been done, and even came out personally to inspect the work himself. Very professional from start to finish!”

“I want to say Greg and Chelsea went way up and above to fix an issue from another store. I'm glad i went to martinsburg ( which is my normal store) and had the courage to ask about the transaction I had at another store. Not only did they make it right, but they went up and above to earn my buisness. I will never step foot again in the other local store after what happened, but i will always trust the team at martinsburg. I will also include, I have only ever had one issue in the past with harbor freight prior to this (during covid when a tool box I had special ordered and was accidentally sold and took about 3 months total to get due to supply chain issues. Back then Greg was involved and helped make that transaction right too)”

“I can't tell you how great this place is. People who actually know what they're talking about (and what you're talking about!) People who actually care if you get what you're looking for and try and make themselves available to help.I looked around Home Depot, Lowe's & Fastenall for some, what I thought was, basic hardware. No one had it. I tried Heistons as a last resort and from here on out they will be my FIRST stop every time. If you're serious about trying to get the right stuff the first time just start here. Seriously. Plus it's local and unbelievably reasonably priced!”

“OMG it's a paint store, a hardware store AND a post office. How convenient. My husband got lost for 45 mins in this store, checking out some of the more hard to find paint options (like the 1776 color collection) and chatting with the folks behind the counter. I love the convenience of a post office and paint store, and the fact that they have a useful selection of hardware (and even some essentials like toilet paper) is awesome. This is an old school shop, and perfect for DIYers to come get what they need to rehab furniture and stock their workshops. We'll be stopping in again next time we're in town!”

“Great location with a lot to offer. While the pin type halogen lamp selection is limited I was able to find what I needed but it was the last one in stock. With family like staff and personal attention it's no wonder why they have been in business for so long. I drove past several larger places and don't regret my decision.”

“Lowes is a very good home improvement store. This review is not about Lowes, but instead about the Valspar paint that is sold there. I purchased a gallon of Valspar Reserve, from Lowes, in a red tint to cover a white wall. Valspar guarantees it will cover in one coat. I used standard painting practices of trim work first and rolling afterward, that produced an uneven result with every previous column of paint showing through the newest column. Since the guarantee is right on the can, I took the unused portion back and am expecting to hear from a Valspar representative in the next day to get a refund. I took photos of the finished work to prove the coverage is not what is stated on the can. Lowes people were very helpful.”
