NOT family or tourist friendly!!!!!! we were camping in the area and decided to check out the distillery for something to do, we are not local so we did not know children aren’t welcome after 5pm. a woman came attempting to throw us out (never introduced herself not sure if she was a bartender, manager, owner, etc) after we had just got drinks, at which time we asked if we could finish the drinks we just paid for since we aren’t from the area and did not know the rules. she then stayed at our table until we finished them. saying to my daughter when she wouldn’t high five her ‘what did you tell her she got you thrown out’. Made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome for an honest mistake anyone from out of town could make. Campers, just stay at your campsite this place isn’t worth it!

Black Draft is always a great place with great atmosphere!! Titan food truck was there also with some Fantastic BBQ !!! Look for them folks! You will not be disappointed!!

We were enjoying our Friday evening after work with our daughter! She wanted tots, so a wonderful local food truck was there, so why not!
We were seated by staff member #1 (friendly)and staff member #2 (waitress was amazing and kind). Not once was it mentioned of their new “rule”. We’ve been several times since they’ve opened, with our daughter.
When we were wrapping up our evening to go home, a supervisor came over to make us aware of said new rule due to WV Code:
WV ABC CODE 11-16-18
“may not allow or permit any person less than 18 years of age to loiter in or upon any licensed premises; except, however, where a person under the age of 18 years is in or upon the premises in the immediate company of a parent or legal guardian”
Our child WAS with us ( upon the premises in the immediate company of a parent or legal guardian ) as we were asked to finish our beverages (this time), that they’ve already booted other families.
Next time we will support family friendly amenities such as Cushwa Brewing ( 10/10 ) or Amani Brewing ( 10/10 ).

First time to the distillery. Great atmosphere, plenty of seating either indoor, outdoor, umbrella or cabana. Music was nice, not too loud. Overall a great experience. They had 2 food trucks which is why we went in the first place, but got some drinks while we were there. Our photo doesn’t do it justice. The place is huge..multiple buildings way more to it than meets the eye. Will be back again for sure!

If you haven't visited this place yet, then you don't know what you're missing! They have various food trucks (check their website or Facebook for who and when), local live bands, and they make their own liquor that you can buy on site. The kids have plenty of room to run around during the day but are only allowed there until 5pm (correct me if im wrong), after that it's adult time which I think is a fantastic idea.

The atmosphere was really nice. The service absolutely sucked and the the drinks weren't the greatest. Drinks are overpriced just a little bit. Probably won't go back again.

looks like we aren’t the first family to post about the female manager not liking kids at her establishment — we were there today and my son started crying inside. not exaggerating, he cried no more than 15 seconds before she came walking over and said, “is he okay? it’s just really loud when he’s crying” — i was on my way outside with him to try and talk to him when she swooped in and shocked us with her statement. mind you, it’s memorial day weekend and the place was EMPTY so the only people my son would be disturbing for 15 seconds is 3 employees. our son is so well behaved and this was the first time he’s gotten upset in public and of course we’re met with a rude employee. we love black draft and have been quite a bit - they advertise being family friendly, between the hours of 12 and 5, and that’s when we were there. someone needs to step in before this lady drives some really good customers away, it’s so upsetting. there is a 21+ building now so if you can’t stand kids that much - you can go there.

The place is amazing and the staff is very friendly! Very knowledgeable and welcoming. I did not like the fact that it was hot outside and the one shaded area that was open, we were told it was for the owner and at the owners request he said no one can sit there. It’s was basically open all afternoon until closing and wasn’t being used. Seems like a selfish act to me.

The BEST distillery around!!!! We have been coming here for over a year now and every time we visit, it’s always an amazing experience! From the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the amazing atmosphere and mixed drinks, this place always does it to perfection! They have a variety of liquors for every taste that they make themselves, and their knowledge and expertise shows through the amazing flavors of every drink and bottle they produce. If you want a friendly atmosphere with out of this world drinks, live music featuring local artists, rotating food trucks featuring local flavorful fare, and the BEST bourbon, vodka and moonshine you can find anywhere, then Black Draft is for you!!! Shoutout to Kasey, EmmyLou and Nicole for always giving us a VIP experience every time we walk through the doors! Do yourself a favor and make this place your regular!

It's not bad, a bit crowded last time. They have a good variety of bourbons, vodkas. Sadly, I'm a Scottish Whiskey man. Didn't stay too long.
