Lowes has been great for appliances and delivery!! We have gotten our freezers and our refrigerator from them, and they have been great. They have a friendly staff and are always willing to help.

We went to Logan Lowe's this evening to buy a dryer. There wasn't an associate in appliances so I asked someone from another department to page someone. An appliance associate was paged twice, we waited for at least 30 minutes, and no one ever came to help us. We will be going to Charleston tomorrow to buy a dryer. You guys just lost a $700-$800 sale

Lowe’s Barboursville, WV, provided FABULOUS service and help; they behaved professionally and positively, showing that they appreciated having customers. Yesterday (7/10/24) André in appliances was superbly helpful, making the extraordinary effort to show me which of the two stack-pack-box items went with the washer-dryer on display that I had purchased such that I was able to attach correct items on returning home. I deeply appreciate André’s willingness to help!
On the less favorable side was the event with Lowe’s at Logan, WV, that somehow became involved and was to deliver-install items; a woman, Sara, phoned 7/9/24, day prior to scheduled delivery, and pronounced there was a family emergency, that delivery would be delayed until next Wednesday, that they only delivered on Wednesdays. I informed that was not convenient for me. Sara promptly offered to cancel my purchase to resolve the problem; Sara did not seem excessively concerned with customer satisfaction or using common sense in business practices. On learning Logan store had the washer and dryer, I informed Sara it would take me about 90 minutes to arrive and pick them up. On arrival an employee phoned Sara, who told the employee to send me to the Customer Service desk, that everything was there. The Samsung stack kit was not with items. I stated they should give me a 10% discount for the inconvenience; reportedly Sara decreed that only the Barboursville store could do that as that was where the items were purchased; after Logan store re-issued purchases for related, smaller item. EVERYTHING was purchased at Barboursville Lowe’s; giving the impression Logan Lowe’s personnel childishly said whatever necessary to avoid dealing with customers. There was only one employee to load the dryer and the washer such that I had to help; he was adequately courteous and helpful, but a competent manager would have made an appearance under the circumstances and offered help. Were I left with only the Logan Lowe’s experience as basis for returning to Lowe’s, it is very unlikely I’d consider inflicting my purchases onto uncouth people; like a hick-town scene from a bad comedy skit on the Carol Burnett Show. I prefer dealing with civilized, thoughtful people.
Anyway, at Lowe’s Barboursville, WV, employees were habitually helpful, courteous, and created a very positive experience. André went out of his way to help me, and I hope he is the manager of appliances since he (and others) demonstrated care in customer satisfaction. As a result of Barboursville personnel, I retain a positive view of Lowe’s in general.
Many thanks for Barboursville superb service. I am very pleased with the Samsung washer that seems to wash clothes cleaner than the washer replaced; laundered white clothes look whiter. Have not had opportunity to use dryer yet as it seems to have ⅜ instead of ½ inch gas line.

P.S. Since I do not have a telephone, I used a relative’s phone (Garnetta Cooper) but my Lowe’s card. The system shipped everything in the name of the relative instead of the actual purchaser.

It is a shame that they turn off the air conditioning in the stores at 9PM every night and the night shift has to work in over 80 degree temperatures. It is dangerous for an employee to work in those conditions. It says a lot about a company that does not care about their employees or their working conditions. The managers say that corporate controls the air and there is nothing they can do about it ?. Something needs to be done. This is not a safe working environment.

So we ordered a refrigerator 5 times before a friend of ours saw my rant on Facebook and stepped in to help us. She works there. This is unexeptable. Nobody that called us ever cared. Never tried to help us.

Joke. They owe us a refund due to a longer delivery than was told not once not twice but three times. When my $2200 order was delivered it had broke pieces all in it. Now they are refusing to give a refund. We have had the run around for over a month.

Locating items is somewhat of a mess especially for building materials. At least you can use the app to look up the barcode and it will pull up what items you're looking at but it's somewhat cumbersome because items have small barcodes. No employees on floor to help customers find products they are moving about moving items around. Most items are randomly placed especially Lumber. Signage is horrible. Extend your stay for about an extra 20 minutes every time you go there just to get a few items. They can do better I've been to many Lowe's home improvement stores and they all exceed. Store seems to be a little rundown also if you look at the checkout counters the lane numbers are all crooked and ready to fall off. No chains on Lumber protectors and no signage for lumber. Parking lot need some attention also especially on the entrance down the main aisle between the department stores and the small businesses that are spread out throughout this area.
