“my experience: First timer, had a BJJ and met the owner. It was my first time, but i had fun! I'm coming back with some oysters for next time, as is my style. Seriously, though, very clean facilities and it seemed like the people with experience were also having fun ... with us.”

“Dropped in for a class while spending some time in WV.Everyone was super nice, even though I was about 10 minutes late. They welcomed me as if I have been going to this gym for year. Loved the atmosphere. Also, there were a lot of folks training and their kids were playing in the corner, so nice to see a healthy community.”

“Legacy Gym is an amazing place. Honestly, I was nervous to walk in to an old school gym because of all the stereotypes you hear, but I've never been more welcomed. The trainers work with you at your level and help you progress beyond what you think you can do. I never thought I would love competing but the support lets you do what seems impossible.Great comps, great trainers, lots of iron, and a network of serious lifters. If you're a serious lifter and want to lift heavy, this place is for you!”

“Very clean. Nice staff who always stop and talk to regulars. This is my favorite anytime fitness, even though I go to multiple due to my hectic schedule. If you sign up, the contracts are for 1-2 years and you have access to any anytime fitness, which is incredibly convenient. Personal Training sessions are also available when you sign up so make sure to take advantage, especially if you’re starting in the gym for a New Years Resolution.”

“While the equipment is nice and everything is clean it is missing more than few machines that the old one had and/or has less of them. This can make it hard to find an open machine especially during busy hours. On the brightside there is plenty of empty room to add more equipment in the future.Pros:Tons of cables and dual cable towersLots of racks and deadlift platformstons of turf space upstairsnice pool and clean large locker room and showersCons:Only 1 calf raise machine, only 1 lateral raise machine, no pullover machine, 1 preacher curl machine (outside), dumbells only go up to 100lbs, no tricep extension machine, no pendulum squat”

“As a 73-year-old dude with heart and lung issues, it is nice to do a quick exercise routine in peace & quiet. There are no attitudes and no judgments. I'm on a portable oxygen bottle, and there's no one staring while I do my time on the machine.”

“Really good gym, good equipment and very spacious. The staff is super friendly and helpful; kudos to Johnny! I also took several sessions with Jay, who was always very patient and professional; he managed to get me engaged with something that has always been boring to me. Cleanness of bathrooms is something that could improve.”

“I’ve been in Martinsburg twice for work and both times, Extreme Family Fitness was where I went.Their customer service is awesome compared to other large GYMs and they are all approachable. I purchased a 5-day pass both times and it was only $25; most places charge triple that for the same amount of days. They have just about everything you need for lifting. Cardio equipment is there too, if that’s your thing. But they’ve got 6 racks and plenty of barbells for them.Tons of machines, including hard to find ones like hack squat machines.Love this place and will be using it every time I pass through for work.”
