I've been banking with city national since 2018. I'm not sure why I have stayed with them so long. The staff for the most part is great, been a few glitches with personalities. But they were addressed. My biggest complaint is that they do nothing for me. There's been a few hackings on my debit card. They have never found a single one in my favor. They willingly let people steal my money. Then they cancel the card and I have to wait 10 days for a new card. Suppose I have an emergency and cant make it to a bank during working hours to get money out? They'll leave me stranded. Every other financial institution issues one immediately. Then , Ive needed a loan and I am told that I do not have enough collateral to secure one. When I finally get a home of my own to use as collateral, I am told that it's not good enough to use. Because it's a mobile home, in a park NOT on my own land. I'm at the point now where I need a vehicle. I am disabled and my truck died beyond repair and they tell me that I have to low of a credit score to qualify, it's low because I have no showing credit. How am I supposed to get credit when my own bank of 7 years won't give me any.No offense to the staff, but as soon as I have transportation. This bank is losing me.

Been banking with City for 8 years, never have I ever had one issue. The staff are always friendly and fast! Highly recommend.

This review is for their ATM machine. Went there Christmas morning out of order. It’s always a problem with their ATM machine. They need a new one. It is not the first time that something happens with their ATM machine.

I called just to give information to my bank on Friday about a scammer, though their attempt at a purchase didn't go through. I informed the women that I had checked with the auto phone banking to assure that. I thought that was that, except my purchases on line started getting rejected for non-payment. I re-entered my payment info and tried again with the same result and figured those who scanned me had done this. So on Monday I call the local bank to tell them and they have me call fraud who informs me the local bank froze my card the week before. They never told me! What if my car broke down on the road or I needed a prescription. They have no record of who did this without notifying me.I've never seen or heard such a lack of professionalism in a bank before.

Stopped in on short notice to have some documents notarized. The lady we dealt with was very professional and treated us as if we were a long time customer. We greatly appreciated the service and hospitality!!!

Had to cancel my card back on October 2nd for fraudulent activity, it is now October 25th and they still have not sent me a card. I have been with this bank for almost ten years and I have called 4 times about my card and each person has told me something different. Not one person has been able to assist me with the problem, nor do they act like they care. They are now sending me a new card and telling me I won’t receive it until the end of next week. This is ridiculous that I have to go a month without a bank card!!!! But this is how they do long term loyal customers. After this I will NO longer be banking with them. Seriously, you could go to any other bank and they can give you a card the same day, this has been such an inconvenience! One star was too generous, I would not recommend this bank. Terrible customer service!

ATM is down too often and I have to turn around and go to bank in Martinsburg. Wasting time and gas.

Have had nothing but issues I reported my card lost and called to order a new one which they said they did. Well that evening my husband goes to get gas and they have blocked his card and ordered him a new one but NEVER ORDERED MINE. No one reported his card lost or stolen so who knows why they decided to take it apon themselves to cancel his card. Well then I call in when he gets his card to change the number so he can activate his card well a week and a half later when I finally get my card I call to activate it and can't because THEY NEVER CHANGED THE PHONE NUMBER. like what is really going on at this branch seams like it's just some in compatant people who need to get it together or find another job

Tried refinancing my 2015 Harley Davidson with 1900 miles that's currently in a high interest rate loan. Have excellent credit and bank couldn't offer anything to beat the high interest rate besides a home equity loan and that payment was more than I pay now for 10 years. So excellent credit = high interest rate, bad credit= high interest rate. Completely ridiculous and I've banked here for over 20 years. Why even offer refinancing if you cant beat a high interest rate? Or at least be somewhat resonable
