Called to schedule an appointment, they asked about my insurance provider, I told them, and the appointment was scheduled. Two months later I arrived, only to be told they are not in my provider's network. What an inconsiderate waste of two months of my time.

I would highly recommend this office. Bill is very professional and knowledgeable as well as a super friendly staff and they have options available if you are on a budget like me. I was seen, examined, picked out glasses and after insurance I paid a very small fee.

Very hateful billing staff, who yelled at me over the phone for notifying them that they were sending late fees after they were putting my grandfathers bill on hold due to causing him to go almost legally blind after cataract surgery that they assured us 6 separate times was completely free with his insurance with exception of office visits. Gross says his eyes are perfect yet he keeps double vision in his right eye, cannot see to write, and sees better with his old prescription glasses from 5 years ago than he does without. The glare from the ring around his eyes outside is blinding to him. Gross has completely worsened my 80 year old grandfathers quality of life to where he’s become so depressed because he’s unable to do anything he once enjoyed. On top of this, them refusing to try to go through insurance to get paid, they say it’s our problem. We made sure before even scheduling the surgery, 6 different times, thay it would be free. Including in surgery day. Due to his low single home income after my grandmother passing. He was not going to do the surgery if insurance didn’t 100% pay. We were lied to and they butchered my grandfathers eyes. Too cocky and defensive group of people working there. Front office staff and nurses are nice. Nice doctors but incompetent for their career. Terrible billing staff. Screaming to where someone 6 feet away could hear her while my phone was not on speaker phone. Had me in tears. Sad company they have there. Will never forgive them for the grief they’re causing on my grandfather.

I was one of Dr. Ratcliff's very first patients when he moved here out of school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I was thirteen and had a partially detached retina from playing football.

Had no insurance and they charged me $400 for an eye exam. The staff were rude and made me do the Eye Map machine TWICE because they messed up the first take. Would never go back again.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would . Absolutely horrible services . The brown haired service lady had me scheduled for something completely different than I needed not knowing this thinking they were checking my eye because there's something literally wrong with it .they tell me I'm being charged 250 for something I didnt even schedule my appointment for . So I'm held accountable because the secretary messed up my appointment. She didnt even leave notes or anything when my tear duct is blocked and leaking green pus .I'm told my eye is fine and sent home with no eye drops or anything . I got absolutely nothing but scammed out of my money . Then I call them to explain that I want a redundant because my eye is awful and they tell me they are going to call me back and never did . I was completely disregarded my entire appointment repeatedly telling them my issues with my eye and them not do or check anything for it . Im contacting management in the morning

Best experience ever!! Everyone is amazing. I adored the staff, Dr. Bill, and even selecting glasses (which I normally dislike). Such an efficient process, no waiting, excellent customer care, and impeccable bedside manner. Fixed an issue with a poor contact prescription. Extremely thorough exam. Highly, highly recommended.

Everything went fine until I went to get new frames and lenses. The lady said I couldn’t get new frames until January due to my insurance but could get new lenses in my current frames. I said that was fine but then she takes a look at my frames and says she can’t get me new lenses because I didn’t buy those lenses from them and they don’t carry them. So I said okay but asked if I could look around. To my surprise I found my exact same pair of frames on the shelf. I asked her to confirm that they were the same and she said yes but I still can’t get new lenses. What?!My lenses are beyond scratched I am miserable and having trouble seeing and there is seriously nothing they can do?!

My son broke his glasses and he cannot see without them. I was so stressed out cause his normal eye doctor couldnt get him in for a appointment for months. We didnt have months my kid cant be without them. They got me in that day and put a rush on his glasses we had them four days later im so thankful for them getting him seen that same day and the girls were so nice. The woman who helped us pick out his glasses was absolutely amazing. Im so glad i switched eye doctors now.. It was so calm and quiet in their office i am very pleased...

Dr. Bill has been the most thorough eye care doctor I have been to. He explains every part of the exam and will answer any question you have about information you may not understand immediately. Unfortunately, I do not have optical insurance, so I need to pay out of pocket. Very reasonable rates...in my opinion.
