Needed to get transmission fluid/filter changed before a long trip towing a camper. Scheduled appointment weeks ahead of time. Told guy on the phone when I made the appointment year/make/model/etc. Drove all the way up there first thing in the morning on the day of the appointment (along with someone to give me a ride back) and he tells me they can't do it due to the type of filter/fluid it takes. Would have been great to know that when I talked to him weeks ago. So wasted a trip and now I'm scrambling to find someone to do it before I leave in a week.

Had my car at another garage for 2 months waiting on a transmission replacement. Laney's had one ordered and repaired within 3 days. May take a couple days before they can get your car in the lot but it's because they only have a few spaces. Call ahead before you go. Excellent work. Pretty good pricing. Wouldn't put any parts on your car that he wouldn't put on his own so don't expect cheap parts.

Dave Laney know how to talk to people and treats them as a friend. They were very highly recommended to me by Doug's Auto in Genoa he said I probably could fix it for you but if it were mine I would take it to a specialist that knows their job and he highly recommended this shop thanks for getting me back up and running and fixing my Jeep wrangler.

Was referred to Laney’s for possible transmission fluid leak/check engine light with a transmission code. After diagnostics was told that the transmission was functioning fine and was most likely an electrical issue; despite taking the time to help diagnose our vehicle’s issue was charged nothing for their time. Will certainly be back if I have a transmission issue in the future.

About a half dozen people recommended these guys and I see why. Just old school good ol boys who know their stuff and do what they say. Their shop is neat as a pin (see photos) which tells me a lot about Laney's. They got to the job quickly, got it done and at a very reasonable price. Don't look for cheap though, you get what you pay for. If you want it done right take it to Laney's.

GMs 6L80 six speed transmission requires a fluid and filter change at 40k miles. At 32k i called Moses and they wanted 400+ dollars for the service. Laneys came highly recommended so I gave him a call. Got me in quick and performed the service by noon. His shop is clean which reflects favorably on any mechanic. He done a fine job. The only con was tranny fluid got on the crossover manifold pipe. It had to burn off which emitted a rather poignant oder. No big deal but a thorough review. To his benefit, GM did not engineer a drain plug on the pan so fluid spill is unavoidable. Good service.

The folks that changed my oil said transmission is leaking. I took it in to Laneys and the guys checked it out. Said it was oil leak not transmission. They didn't charge me. Highly recommend Laneys!
