The location is fantastic and very welcoming. The vehicles I’ve been provided through numerous rentals I’ve made so far have been brand new and in almost pristine condition. Zane at the location is extremely helpful and made the rental experience seamless.

Hey folks I rented from Hertz for several years and this location is absolutely terrible, the cars are parked on a side of street it’s almost comical.However, the staff is absolutely awesome and you can’t beat the price so if you want a great deal and a modern low mileage car then grab you Uber app and head on over from the airport and grab a car.

If you happen to be in an airplane that is delayed and cannot answer the phone call at the time of pickup they will give away your confirmed reservation. I travel often and have never seen anything like it. 30 min late and they canceled leaving me stranded. Rent somewhere else...

I got hit a few months ago, but it wasn’t my fault. I picked Hertz and they sent me to Ironton to get a car. When the time came, Ironton wasn’t very helpful. So I called Huntington Hertz and they helped me the same day!!

I was able to rent a nice compact car, but wasn’t given any facts abt how the car works, i.e. where is the gas gauge.Traveling from WV to MD…arrived at the MD store and found out that they only handle rentals for car accidents/insurance. Manager told staff to complete the transaction, but it made me wonder how/why the renting agent (in WV) didn’t know that.I was happy that my final bill was not as expensive as I thought it would be bc I arrived after their closing hours and returned the car the following day!

My claims department set a reservation with Hertz car rental in Barboursville WV. with-in 3 minutes I was on the phone with hertz to let them know I was coming. They stated they did not have anything available and when I got upset and told them the reservation had literally just been made through my claims department not even 5 minutes earlier a Mark got on the phone and repeated they did not have a vehicle for me…. I said “I WILL BE MAKING A REVIEW” Mark said “GO AHEAD, MAKE A REVIEW” at which point I hung up. After this being the 3rd reservation that had been set up for me in a 12 hour period which did not happen, it would appear that these places say they have something available just to keep agencies coming back for when they have too many vehicles to rent out. VERY DISAPPOINTING

We use hertz as much as possible. Highly recommended using over any other car rental agencies in the area!

Terrible. Do not book here. I was just given a 4 hour notice on a one way rental that they would have no “extra” cars for me. I had a reservation, but apparently since I didn’t pay in advance or put my credit card on file, my reservation was considered “extra”. Liz nicely informed me they only give cars to people they for sure know are going to show up, even though I confirmed 2 days ago, but I didn’t put my card on file, so now I’m without a car. Everywhere else in town is sold out, so now I get to pay for an Uber to take me to Cincinnati so I don’t miss my flight. I understand a car is not going to appear, but I had an issue with the word extra and the fact they said I HAD to put a credit card down on a pay later reservation. Liz even informed me that I must have booked it on a third party website because it would have asked for my card. Which is not the case, because I did indeed book it on the Hertz website with my alumni discount code. When I asked for the manager, she told me several times to call customer service and she would not let me speak to a manager. The other guy told me they have NO cars, Liz first said they had 2, then said they had none. Meanwhile, they’re in the background writing a rental agreement. The blatant lies and disrespect. I’m so glad I never represented a terrible, grimy company like Hertz. Enterprise would NEVER. Improper fleet planning and poor customer service skills. Do better.

Five stars to Josh, who was really helpful and very friendly.1 star for Hertz, as there is absolutely no fleet available to exchange a car, which is absolutely unsatisfactory.

Do not rent here they will rip you off. I had to return the car to a location 3 hours away due to a work emergency when trying calling the have an automated system that won't give you an option to talk to an agent. Long story short the Hertz customer service said is nothing they could do and they charge me an extra $400!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a one day rental!!!!!! If you don't want to be cheated then don't rent here.

I wish I could give 0 stars… I paid my 95 dollar fee as I was told that would be my only charge. was told I would get 50 of that back for a deposit. returned the car was told my deposit was pending. then i wake up this morning and they had charged me 137 dollars that i was not told about and made up a string of lies to cover their tracks. the customer service guy at the office ended up hanging up on me when i called about it. they totally ripped me off no one ever rent from them i promise they will do it to you too.
