Hedgesville Reed's pharmacy is a phenomenal place to shop as well as get your prescriptions. When I lived in hedgesville, West Virginia , I got all of my prescription medications filled here. Every time I would go in to get my prescriptions, I would end up walking out with a few bags of decorations or various items because they have so many cute decorative things for sale for very cheap such as $3, $4, $5, etc. Etc. They also marked down certain items after certain time periods such as holidays and it's hard to resist. The workers are extremely nice and go above and beyond to help except for one pharmacist who decided to judge me because of two different medications. I'm one that help me function in life.

Been a customer here since they opened. Was a breath of fresh air after having to drive to martinsburg for years. Even after our insurance would only cover prescriptions filled at CVS we came to Reeds and paid cash for them, it was worth it being closer to home and CVS couldn’t get anything right. Fast forward to September 2023, my wife was at home under hospice care, I had them continue to fill her meds at Reeds, the first med was called in, I picked it up, got home and opened it to find out it was the wrong med (an inhaler instead of a sleep med). So I called Reeds and asked what happened and was told (yelled at) “we don’t have that medicine! Tell hospice to call someone else!!” Well why didn’t you tell hospice that in the first place! Or me, instead of giving me the wrong medication?!?! Heck of a way to treat a long time, dying customer! Nasty. Btw turns out they’re the only pharmacy around the doesn’t carry it. Thank God for spring mills pharmacy, they were so nice, and even deliver meds 2 days a week, even late evening. Yeah Reeds is great, until they dump on you. Small town pharmacy that’s big enough now that they don’t need your business.

Stopped in to see if they had any over the counter tooth filling repair since I ended up breaking off a piece of a tooth filling. They had what I was looking for, and hopefully, it holds me over until I can get in with my dentist. ?? The staff were helpful too.

Go to pick up a script my dr faxed over and am told my insurance won't pay it..by law I have a rite to pay cash for it. Then get told something else, that they need to make sure I'm not pregnant. I've had tons of negative preg tests. Being told the Dr who wrote the script needs to call them....she's aware of all other medications I take. I picked up a kit yesterday for cleaning my colon for biopsies. Highly doubt any Dr would give that kit to clean you out for surgery if pregnant. Will be switching pharmacies after this bad experience.

If I could give them a zero I would. Their system is down for 2 weeks and only take cash, this has happened before. I had CVS tranfer my prescription but Reeds didn't cancelthe order. My insurance won't cover the CVS order until they'd. Its now Saturday and Reeds is closed so I can't get my meds until Monday. I've had so many issues with Rreds not filling the full order then ? ? ? ?

The sign on the window says you close at 7:00 not 6:56!!! We pulled in the drive thru and the open sign was still on. I completely understand that you want to get home but really? If you can’t wait another 4 minutes then change your hours.

After moving to WV and nudging by my Mother, I filled my daily meds at this pharmacy, thinking it was close and what could go wrong? I've changed pharmacies many times during other moves with no issues but I had a weird feeling this time. The first fill went fine. Upon refilling, I was told one of my meds would need to be ordered but it would be ready the next day. That "I should keep that in mind for the future". I tried to let them know I would be refilling it every month and picking it up but they said due to it's cost and the fact that others have filled and failed to pick up that particular medication they can't keep it in stock. And flat out refused to accommodate me. On my third refill, I was given a generic for this medication that had only been released the same month-June 2022. Now, I know generics are very common but a phone call would have been nice as I've been taking this medication for years and it basically keeps me able to function in the world. Not all generics work the same as name brand medicines. And why didn't I have any say in this? It's my body? AND if cost was the issue, it shouldn't have been. I read all my Insurance paperwork and I know for a fact they were paid the full amount for the name brand of $250 (per bottle) so I'm really baffled as to why they changed to a generic?! I don't see what the point was. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING HERE. I don't feel this pharmacy cares about doing what is in the best interest of the customer but doing what is in THEIR BEST INTEREST no matter the cost. Actions speak louder than words!

I am new to WV, and I transferred all my prescriptions to them due to it being a location close to my work. Went in there for the first time a few weeks ago.... and the worst thing I can say about them is that I spend too much money in their cute little pharmacy with all their amazing little gifts. I was enthralled. All the people I have dealt with there are fantastic and pleasant and efficient. Very glad I chose them. Their customer service is great.
