French's was a great place to go, but unfortunately, the store is closed due to the owner, Donna Jean French, suffering a stroke in 2018. On Sundays, pickers from all around would gather to play their instruments and sing. Any day other than Sunday, you could buy homemade sandwiches, soup and other goodies. They stopped selling gas a while back. Truly a Hedgesville landmark! Best wishes to Donna Jean for a complete recovery!

I visit here about twice a year now for my car inspections, I get fast friendly service. I used to live closer and would stop by here on a regular basis and was always treated well.
