John is one of the most honest and friendly mechanics in LA. My family has been going to him for 20 years now and it's only been positive experiences. Unfortunately we live 45 min away from him but still go to John for major repairs because we just don't trust anyone else. If I lived closer there would be no other consideration for our mechanic. Some of these other lower reviews aren't even talking about John, but actually the younger mechanics next door to him. If you can definitely give him a shot, you'll see.

John at John's Auto Body is a great guy he has a great team there! I got a new used Nissan Frontier pro4x which his team installed a bull bar and a light bar looks great!! They all did a super job

John's Auto Repair is the reason of why a 2003 Lexus with 250k miles and a 2002 Windstar are still on the road. This small but super efficient and honest auto repair is the best place to take your car from oil changes, brakes, check engine lights up to transmission replacements. Their are genuinely professional, always clear with prices and things that need to get fixed. I will trust John and his team to take all my family cars.

My daughter has a car from John's auto sales and hasn't had any major issues just minor maintenance repairs he sold it for a very reasonable price that was affordable and any time I have a concern or question regarding the car John is very prompt with an answer that comforts me i have a few brothers who also have a vehicle purchased from John and myself along with my brothers would recommend anyone who I knew looking for a vehicle to shop at Johns auto sales the staff there are excellent I'll buy all future vehicles from John he in my opinion can't be beat.. Thanks to John and his employees for putting my daughter and grandson in a safe affordable and dependable vehicle

First time using John's Automotive but when needed in the future will be back! Honest place and staff is professional and knows what they are doing. I did not feel like I was being upsold on fixing my truck. They inspected my vehicle thoroughly and let me know what needed to be fixed. Hard to find a mechanic you can trust, therefore; when the time comes I will be back.

I brought my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee to John's Automotive and I can't be happier with the service. It's rare to find an honest shop and Ben fixed my Jeep with original Mopar parts for thousands less than the dealership quoted. The mechanic Matt, is thorough and inspected my vehicle with detail. He found things I didn't know needed replacing, and the things that I thought I needed to replace, were recommended that I not fix them yet as they had more life and worked well. Any other shop would have just raked me over the coals. Thanks, Ben, Matt and John's Automotive for the incredible service!!! I highly recommend them!

had my jeep at John auto to get work done and I was very pleased at the work they did a awesome job I taken my car other places and this place are awsome great work and awesome workers if anyone need great work done on there cars jeeps trucks ECT. go to John auto to get repairs done thanks so very much John and workers for best serves I gotten on my jeep I will be back for any works that I'll need done in the future I give u A+++++ for your hard work. I will remand anyone that needs work done to come here.

We just moved from Colorado Springs to San Marcos two weeks ago and the brakes on my Toyota 4Runner were getting very noisy. After looking at Yelp, I found John's Automotive and gave them a call. The reviews are true - they are amazing. Matt took my call, told me to bring my vehicle in and he replaced the brake pads and rotor on my 4Runner in record time. Great service and we'll definitely be back for any future issues!

Hands down best mechanics in town. Always friendly, responsive and looking out for your best interest! Ben is an all time guy and is one of the reasons why I bring my car back to get worked on. Never had a bad experience, always doing what's best for you and your wallet. I've been to many mechanics over the years and nobody has impressed me like John's.

Hands down the BEST autobody shop you can go to! Not only are Ben and his coworkers friendly, but they give you a quote and actually stick to it. They don't try to rip you off, they want to ensure your vehicle is safe and they run everything by you first. Being a young women who doesn't know much about cars they were more then willing to explain everything to me and there was not one instance I felt like they were trying to sell me something I didn't need. I dropped off my car and Ben even ordered a lyft for me to go to a coffee shop so I could wait for my car. When I came back to get my car, Ben mentioned that I was in need of new tires (had 2012 tires and it was 2019 so definitely needed them) and with my lack of knowledge of what type of tires to get, he helped me try to find tires that were suitable for my car. Two hours later of talking to tire shops and finding good tires at a fair price, he made an appointment for me the next day to get my tires on and then to get them aligned. Ben went above and beyond and because of that I will only go back to this place (even though I live in downtown San Diego) and will be recommending everyone to go to John's Automotive! Oh and he also called the next day to make sure all my appointments went smoothly. You can't make this s*** up people! All I can say is GO HERE!
