This is a fun place to learn about history, not a military fort but a family whom built a fort to protect them from the unknown. To making candles, leather pouches and corn stalk dolls, playing old games.

Historical with a great museum and gift shop. Located by the rail trail. Closes for winter, but still worth seeing. Great facilities.

Really enjoyed our visit. Even though the fort was closed for the season, and it was raining, we still enjoyed walking around and seeing the sights. The museum was great and informative as well.
