“FANTASTIC Javanese (Persian & Indian infused into Pacific Island) food. We got both beef & chicken schwarma -- each had their own style of salad that was AWESOME. Also got an order of grape leaves that was GREAT. What a gem of a place in Charleston! Make sure you get some grub & don't miss out!”
“Dollar General has changed into a sort of small Wal-Mart overnight. I really can't explain. It has produce, actual HEALTHY groceries, real cleaning products. I mean I go with change but I don't know if it's just because I'm used to it and it just happened overnight or if it's because it's just so great and I want more. Some of the items actually slam the other discount stores pretty bad. I love it. I can't find anything and i stay for a couple of hours but the place is actually really decent now. I love the new model that Dollar General has gone with and I really hope to see some sort of expansion test store at some point but for them to be changing all (I'm guessing) the stores this way I'd say that's way down the road but with what they are doing now I'm all for it. Now if they can look at some stuff the branded items that they have kept and think about changing those it would be great but HEY, I'm telling you to go down and look what they've done. You'll love it.”
“I stop in here 2 or 3 times a week, the employees are friendly and helpful. Once I asked them about a certain brand of Cream soda, they didn't carry it at the time but the next time I stopped there they were carrying it.”

“This place carries name brand products that locals would normally have to go to Walmart to get and for the most part the store is clean and well organized. The only thing that needs improvement is the customer service. A lot of the employees are doing their jobs perfectly but there are a few that I’m sure the store has had complaints on before that have very poor customer service and attitude while providing this subpar service. It would be nice if the upper management would deal with said bad eggs because without those few I would give this store a 5 star rating.”
“I grew up a little ways from here, in the same town, and have always went here for gas, and for little things, like soda, chips, and candy for my kids. Always have friendly cashiers.”
“Enjoy shopping at this store.Convenient to get on and off Route 60.Friendly staff.It is annoying to not be able to look or reach certain things, due to the area being blocked by carts/dollies and other storage things, where whomever is responsible for stocking the shelves has pulled an Elvis and left the building.Am appreciative of DG, because going to wal-marts are impractical to me...with their football field-soze parking lots, people riding around on the motorized carts that can't drive them, and to just get a gallon of milk, you have to walk through the warehouse-sized store.”
“Though the old Grocery Store floor is uneven and usually needs mopped around the entrance, I Like This Location of DGS! They're usually WELL Stocked and have what I want (others, often are not) and rarely, have I had to wait at the checkout, more than 3 or 4 minutes! They often have leftover seasonal items, marked down cheap and it's always worth stopping there, when I pass thru Montgomery!”

“Not crowded, everything in its place making it easy for me to get what I needed. I visited this store once or twice a week and I can't say anything negative however the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is bc of the rude dude that came to work there mid summer maybe? He went out of his way to let customers know he was way too busy to be bothered.... Don't remember his name but certainly remember his zero customer service skills!”
“The employees were great as usual. Warm and friendly and willing to talk to their customers even tho they were extremely busy changing things around for holidays and restocking shelves. I'd rather go to the Chesapeake Dollar General than any other.”
“The staff is always friendly. The store does need more employees, therefore, more hours as it seems that upper management must feel that my time is theirs to waste as often the registerr is not manned at all times. They expect them to be in the back stocking shelves and have to run back and forth doing 2 or three jobs at once. Why make people stand in line to hand you money?”
“Small town grocery store that doesn’t carry a lot, but it’ll do in a pinch. It’s not a Wal-Mart and definitely can’t touch their prices but who really can today? It could definitely use a produce department and a little expansion wouldn’t kill them. But more or less it’s got what you need just ad long as your needs are basic and a little overpriced. They do have a great selection of pastries and a few items that you can’t find anywhere else, so there are definitely some pluses. Along with fact that you don’t have to trek it cross country just to get to the only next grocery store”
“Staff are friendly and the store is well stocked and orderly. They have several items behind locked cases. You have to push a button to notify an associate for assistance. They typically show up, however be prepared to wait awhile.”

“Nice spot to stop for a bit. Smaller lot, so get in early if you can. People seem nice and the bathrooms are clean! There's an IHOP next door and a few other choices as well. Would do a reset here”
“the store was well stocked had very good sales (must have kroger card) I found everything was stocked and some items I didn't expect to see. the employees I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. the store was very clean and had plenty of room to move around in. prices were reasonable & some were just high. over all i had a very good experience and will shop this store in the future.”

A murderer, countless thieves and a bunch of unprofessional, rude youngsters. If the store would donate its toss always to the YMCA or the school or one of the shelters, it would make a huge difference.
