Worst company to deal with. Could have cared less that the property (which had a beautiful location) had an ant infestation. had mold on all of the blinds, needed all of the matrasses replaced and was in need of a serious spring cleaning. Due to their lack of interest when we contacted them we will never rent from them again.

Great Customer Service. In less than 24 hrs. We notified them we left our dogs collars behind and they found them and are returning to us in VA.
They are always accommodating and very friendly. This is our 4th or 5th year going to timberline and every year they have been great!

We rented the Still of the Night property for the week between Christmas and New Years. The property was clean and well-stocked, but the hot tub stopped working three days in. We called Best of Canaan to report it in the AM before hitting the slopes, and they said they'd send someone to check on it. When we got off the mountain at the end of the day - no one had called to let us know the status and they seemed annoyed when we called to inquire. Apparently, the hot tub needed a replacement part and could not be fixed during our stay. This was incredibly disappointing because we specifically chose this property over other properties for the hot tub - and we paid a premium to have a hot tub - $4,700 for the week. We asked for a partial refund given the broken hot tub and they said they'd refund us the $65 hot tub fee, but that is it.... For $670 a night, you'd expect the facilities to be working properly - and if not - for there to be some sort of acknowledgment and apology, but no such luck. Renters beware!

This was the 3rd year I've booked through Best of Canaan. I have always found them to be professional and friendly. I booked for next year as I was checking out. Would highly recommend them.

We rented an AirBNB from a lady who uses this company to manage her rentals. I'm guessing the lady is in breach of contract for this. NONETHELESS. This is NOT our problem. The staff and security guard were incredibly RUDE to us. We heard this guy is rude to everyone. This town sure seems to hate tourists to depend so much on the revenue.

**Would not refund the $79 Partner Fee and refund comes in the mail via paper check if you cancel** I booked a property with Best of Canaan on a third party platform and needed to cancel within 24hrs. I requested a full refund and was told by Donna the $79 Partner Fee would still apply (even inside 24hrs). After corresponding back and forth with both Accounting and Donna it was still not explained to me what the ‘Partner Fee’ was. Accounting attempted to put the blame on Visa saying they charge extra fees for booking and refunding. When asked to explain the Visa Fee and Partner Fee, my email was not responded to. Finally they allowed an electronic refund to my bank (minus the $79) only because they say I insisted. Unprofessional, not transparent, not courteous, and not easy to work with. Will not be booking with Best of Canaan for any future vacation stays. Beware of the $79 fee if you need to cancel. Formal complaint sent to third party booking company.

We love dealing with Best of Cannan for our annual cabin trip. Pay a deposit and have a year to pay for the entire trip. Each couple can call in and make their own payments. Great properties to choose from. Used thus realtor for the last three years.

Updated 3/27/2022...........Just started to look for a seasonal rental for the upcoming year and thought I "might " venture and see what the other local realty companies have to offer for homes & pricing ......If you are like me ; you read the REVIEWS ......This just reaffirms to me what I have known for a long time ( 15 + years ) Best of Canaan offers the best properties ,the best rates and most importantly the best service in the region . We can't wait to return this coming year and see all of the friendly faces at the Best of Canaan office . I've never had the opportunity to use Best of Canaan for their rental service, but I have worked with their realtor Amy Barb who has done a great job at helping me find the perfect property and then negotiating all the ups and downs that go with any real estate purchase. Great experience!
