“I noticed a review that stated a child contracted COVID-19 from the childcare center. I feel as a parent of a infant that attends this facility I need to comment.
Yes, there was a positive case in the infant room. A room that my infant son shares with the infant that contracted COVID. The staff promptly notified parents that there was a positive case and took the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all children at the facility. The staff worked hand-in-hand with the health department and went above and beyond health department recommendations to ensure a thorough deep cleaning/sanitizing took place.
What bothers me the most is that this review stated the child contract COVID from the facility. Please note, there was only ONE positive in the entire facility and that includes other children and staff members. To me, this speaks volumes to the sanitizing and cleaning that the employees conduct on a daily basis. It’s frustrating to me, as a parent and essential worker, that this person would lay blame on the facility. We ALL run the risk everyday of contracting the virus.
The facility conducts temperature checks on each child upon arrival and ensures all parents/guardians and staff members sanitize, maintain social distancing and wear a mask. I applaud the facility that has stayed opened through the entire pandemic for their exceptional efforts and taking care of my son while my husband and I go to work. Thank you!”
