BP / 7-11 serving its intended purpose well. It provides travelers on I79 NB the last opportunity to purchase basic provisions and fuel 24/7.
3 stars would be the rating I'd typically for an establishment that is 30 years outdated for cleanliness is not atrocious but has plenty of room for improvement.
No access to public restrooms (at least during late night hours with the closest rest area being another 25-30 miles further north.
With it being the only opportunity for northbound travelers to fuel up with the next services being in Flatwoods 40-50 mile north is enough to give it an additional 4th star.

The bathroom was very dirty. You could tell it hadn't been clean in a long time! The store wasn't all that clean either! Was very disappointed in the coffee. It was to strong to drink! We was visiting relatives there but next time we'll go into Clendinin to get gas!

This BP is also a 7-11 for those who are wondering. The staff is friendly and they will make anything on their menu fresh for those who ask. The store is excessively busy at points throughout the day however which can lead o a bit of a wait.

This BP gas station (aka. Shaffers) in Clendenin on Spencer Road. Is the most inconvenient convenience store. There is a horrible smell when entering the store. It reminds me of dead body or dead animal smell. The gas pumps when they all are not taken like usual, run extremely slow. The pumps need to be updated with modern technology. They are the some of the oldest gas pumps that are still in use today.Often when going to the store the doors are locked and the employees are nowhere to be found for 20 or 30 minutes at a time.

A disaster. A compare failure to execute the cultural template of "convenience store." Nothing is convenient. Pumps are already taken as you dodge various construction and roadwork crews using the parking lot, which barely exists, as a staging area. The clerks are never at the register. They have half the stock of a normal BP. And the bathroom dates to 1874.
