I have curly hair so I am used to less than perfect haircuts. I decided to try Teri at Rock Scissors Paper. I explained to her all the issues I faced with my curls. I walked out of there with the worst cut I’ve ever had. She did a curly cut after I’d told her that the back of my hair and underneath are not as curly as the front. She pulled out a few curls around my head and cut them. She didn’t cut underneath or take care of the tail that was left in the back of my hair from my previous cut. She loaded my hair with product and diffused it. When I lifted my head I was horrified and the fact that she wasn’t horrified me more. I looked like Rosanne Rosanna Danna. She smoothed it down and I wasn’t as horrified. Tip and cut cost $90. I went home and worked with it. I bought the suggested products. It’s been over a month now. I’ve tried several ways of wearing it and it’s still horrible. Today I asked for a refund. I was told they don’t do that and was told I could go in again to be assessed. No way in hell would I ever go back.
2/3/24 Just ann addition to this review. I went to a stylist in Morgantown today who actually listened to me and understood curly hair. I explained the cut she did and he said no way, never should that cut be done. He said my hair was so terribly and obviously uneven. I walked out of there with a beautiful cut and healthy feeling hair in half the time, for a lower price and no judgement. We also talked about letting my grey grow out. He gave me a workable solution that I can do myself instead of all the costly, damaging stripping and processing Teri told me she would do. My best advice is to absolutely steer clear of her.

I have curly hair. I have had many bad cuts because there are very few people who truly understand curly hair. I went to Rock Scissors Paper for an appointment with Teri. I was nervous but she assured me she knew how to cut curly hair. She was over confident. I ended up with the absolute worst cut of my life. It's so bad I'm embarrassed. I've tried every way I know to style it and I tried every product she suggested and it's just horrible. Before she started I told her all my concerns. I told her it's curlier on top and in the front than underneath and in the back. She completely ignored me and now those issues are much worse. The stylist before her left me with a tail in the back. She said she fixed it. She did not. After she diffused my hair and I came up from having my hair flipped over, I was horrified. I looked like Roseanne Rosanna Danna. I was more horrified that she thought it looked good. I told her I wasn't used to it being so poofed. She smoothed it some but it was still bad. I was charged $90 and all s did was pull out a few of my curls and slice down them. Now over a month later I still can't do anything to make it look nice. It's a chopped up mess. Also she was very judgemental about the products I used and she made herself out to be a hair styling god. Far from it. I was so disgusted with my hair this morning I asked for a refund. She said they don't do that but I could come in to get reassessed. There is no way in hell I'll ever go back there.
