The service I get is always friendly but I just feel bad for the associates because they're not fully trained. Every single time I've gone in there to use a gift card from their establishment they never understand how to ring it up and always have to call their manager, I'd suggest training them beforehand is all just saying.

Only 1 employee working at 3:00 in the afternoon. 7 of us in line. 8th customer walks in and holds the line up because she needed the 1 employee to help her find a Pepsi. Customer #8 then tells us all that she's late for work, so she's cutting line. When I asked the cashier if she was going to allow that, she just looked at us and shrugged her shoulders and then rang up the line-cutter's Pepsi. I've spent literally thousands of dollars at Mountaineer Mart. They'll never get another dime from me.

For it being the one of few gas stations in northern Clarksburg its has good selection that isnt outrageously priced & gas is a decent price. Always clean & never have seen any criminal activity like other places in Clarksburg. Love they are open until 2am on Saturdays so you can avoid going 2 Go Mart downtown which is known for crimes or drug users. Also better than the Kompak store for that side of town.

I don't know who the owners are of these stores but I would love to get a couple questions answered. I've been a REGULAR patron of these stores, for going on 15 years now. . . because of it's close proximity, and the outgoing nature of the cashiers/clerks/managers there. I am curious though, why the hell the stores are always so cold? I can understand it in the summer...but my Lord...I dread going in there when the weather is cold, and there are a lot of shoppers...while waiting my turn...I pretty much wish I had waited in my car, keeping warm...until the line thins out...or just go on down the road to GO-Mart and do my shopping there. What is going on?? And their attrition rate is UNBELIEVABLE!! So many clerks/cashiers I got to know, that indeed made me patronize the store over Go-Mart...but then...they are gone?? What are the owners doing wrong? These employees grow the business and the owners are NOT taking care of them? Honestly, I am ready to put the owners on FULL BLAST on Facebook...encourage people to shop elsewhere, because of their lack of caring for the employees. I know if I am freezing during the 5 minutes I shop there, the employees have to be UNCOMFORTABLE. Again...social media can be a powerful tool...and I know how to use it for full affect. I'd advise them to rethink their business practices...especially if they can not HOLD ONTO quality employees. I got to know quite a few of them over the years, as a regular customer...Mary, Norma, Jasmine, Tina, James...on and on. Great customer service skills. Wonderful people! Mark Barnett Clarksburg, WV
