Comfy beds and a nice room. A little mold in the corners of the bathroom prevents a 5 star review, but would stay here again.

Not sure how this place is open. We stayed here on a recommendation of family because the hotel had been "newly renovated". This is the 4th if July weekend
Although the room appeared clean, almost everything else was lacking. Only 2 towels in the room, and we immediately needed to use one to clean the bathroom. Pool was closed for repairs. Broken tiles everywhere. Staff talked rudely to each other, and to visitors. Including to my father-in-law. "Continental Breakfast" was terrible. Only edible thing was 3 stale biscuits in a holder, and a huge pot of gravy. No milk for the cereal, no eggs, sausage was sitting in a pool of grease. All holders of breakfast items were empty, or nearly empty. Waffle maker worked, but there was no waffle mix. When we asked for some assistance, the staff person (wearing an inside out shirt), laughed at us, and told us she was going next door to the other hotel, to get some items. We should have went next door as well. Both this hotel (and the one next door) had a large homeless population sleeping/sitting around the building. Will most certainly NOT be staying at this location ever again.

You get what you pay for at this hotel. Upon arrival, it took several minutes before we were assisted with check-in. During the process, I overheard the staff discussing how they don't rent rooms to locals due to potential problems. After receiving our room key, we took a run-down elevator to the seventh floor. Upon entering our room, I was immediately disappointed. The room felt unwelcoming, featuring an outdated TV from 2009, a broken lamp, a malfunctioning clock, and a scuffed table.I had been looking forward to using the pool, but it was green and clearly hadn't been maintained for a while. In the morning, we were abruptly woken by room service checking to see if we were smoking, likely due to the strong smell of marijuana in the hallway. When we went down for the included breakfast, we found the selection decent, but many items were gone as guests were taking the packaged foods to their rooms. Overall, my experience was in line with my expectations given the price. However, I would recommend spending a bit more for a better hotel experience.
Rooms: Run down with outdated tech and broken amenities.
Nearby activities: You couldn't really walk to many places other than the Clay museum, which is for younger kids.
Safety: The elevator looked like it would break at any minute. Someone was smoking weed in the hallway. Not sure any of that is safe.
Food & drinks: Breakfast was included with an ice .machine on the 6th and 7th floor and a vending machine in the lobby.

Very impressed with the service, cleanliness and overall experience at this hotel. It’s budget, sure, but all of the staff were incredibly nice and the room was clean and very comfortable. Noise was not a problem and the breakfast bar was quite surprising. Waffles and biscuits and gravy were delicious! Thank you for a great stay!

I was stuck in town due to my car breaking down and the workers here turned me away because I had a trained service dog with me. Absurd.

The Quality Inn in Charleston, WV, was dreadful. Smelled terrible. Carpet was damp. AC was LOUD. Hair all over the bathroom floor. Absolutely gross!

Water for shower barely luke warm. No maid service. Minimal number of towels/ linens left the first night and some of those had hair on them that was not ours. Breakfast bar shabby. Coffee was the only beverage available. No juice, water or tea for non-coffee drinkers. No milk for cereal. No way would we stay here again.

They incorrectly sent security to escort me out of my room at 1:00am after somebody else was checked into my room and came in on me sleeping. I had done nothing wrong - they just forgot to mark the room as occupied in their system when they checked me in.
That's the worst thing you can do as a hotel and they didn't even offer to make it right! I had to ask for them to at least comp me that night. Terrible service. Use your deadbolt if you stay here.

I'm not sure what some of these reviews were expecting. For the price, I was pretty impressed. The room was very clean, smelled fine, bed and pillows were comfortable, and I really appreciated the noon checkout time. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, as there was hardly anything left, but I did show up at the tail end of its hours. Overall great value, especially compared to many of my cheap hotel stays over the last couple of years.

Hotel throughout smells bad.
Door has broken hinges presents a security concern. Tv outdated.
Parking lacking enough stalls to accommodate paying residents.
Overall, this place literally Stinks. If I could score it a zero I would.

To all who travel to this location. Be aware, this location has no integrity. If I could give them zero stars I would. I reserved this room 4 days prior to my stay. It was a no refund guaranteed room. When my party arrived at midnight of the night of stay we were told there was a convenient glitch in the system and our room had been given away. We had to stay in a sheets parking lot for the night because we were not able to find another room available at any other hotel in Charleston. This is unacceptable and horrible customer service. Any who stay at a quality inn or choice property just beware you are taking matters into your own hands and if you think they are going to guarantee a room for you you are completely incorrect and should rethink staying at such a low quality facility.

Rooms: Room was recently refurbished and updated. Had issues with shower and lack of any cups or glasses in the room.
Walkability: This was on a Saturday night, and it appears to be a depressed area. It was safe but tread carefully. Proximity to a revitalized area was two blocks away and really nice.
Food & drinks: The breakfast is the weakest point. Don't expect much, if you want a quality breakfast, go out to eat.

Don't think I could have made a worse choice. The first room they gave us had tools laying on the bed and the headboard was awry! They then gave us a different room, which was better, however no hot water for a shower..only warm. No ice machines operational at all...said I could visit their sister hotel next door for ice. Their machines were also not working. This a.m. after a shower, water started to leak from the light fixture...the pool looked like where they collect their septic sludge. One snack machine in the whole place, & it was out of order.

Stinky hotel with a strong smoke smell in the hall way, breakfast is included but not food. Lol, there was barely any food.
