We took our dachshund there yesterday . Waited 6 hours and gave up . She had been having diarrhea and vomiting due to irritable bowel syndrome . While so many pets were seen even though they came in after us . Wish I had read the reviews about this place . Do not take your precious babies to them !!! They are understaffed and slow . Only one vet there . Our local vet was closed for the weekend .

My 9 yr old dog ate the stool from a local feral cat colony where we moved. She ended up really sick. She's terrified of people and we've both had bad experiences with vets so I was nervous, but with no choice we headed in. The ladies were so terrific with her, and with me. She had to stay the day with them, which she's never done anywhere, but I trusted her there and she didn't come out traumatized. In fact she was wagging her tail. They got her stable and on her way to recovery and I couldn't be more grateful. Prices were reasonable also. I hope we don't have to go back there, but with 3 dogs it may happen sometime in the future. At least I know we'll be in good hands. Thank you for taking care of my girl Selah!

Was a very sad day yesterday due to us losing our pet.. but they handled it amazingly and we're very compassionate and awesome with my kids. I came in from Beckley and they were very prompt, and caring of my situation. They didn't charge me nearly as much as they estimated to. I appreciate it the way they allowed my children to spend time and say goodbye.. and how tender they were when helping my pet be at peace. The situation could have been much more anxious and upsetting but they handled it like pros.

My animal passed away unfortunately.. but they handled it very promptly, compassionately.. they were amazing with my children. Even my special needs child. They allowed my children to say goodbye.. they were very reasonably priced, and charged me much less than what they originally said.. it was a very sad day yesterday but they handled the experience amazingly. I'm glad my friend recommended I go there.

Expensive, but the vet that we met (once we were able to be seen) immediately recognized what was wrong with my kittens and prompty had them tested for panleukopenia, which they were positive for. With outpatient care, fluids given by the vet, and probiotics, both of my kittens survived. I wish I could thank the vet that I saw in person for her help.
They prioritize animals based on severity. We witnessed a couple rush in with their dog, who was hit with a car, and the dog was taken back immediately (we learned that the dog would survive while we were waiting for results on my kittens). It may take a while for other situations to be seen as they are one of the very few emergency hospitals in the state.

Don’t bother trying to help a wounded stray you find by bringing it to them. Unless you got a credit card ready to fork over the money, they will tell you the starving cat with a gaping wound on its neck is stable and send you on your way. It’s all about money. Disgusting.

Checked in at 7:15 pm and waited 7 hours and finally left after 2:30am without seeing anyone. Don’t go there if it’s urgent. We will never be back!

After reading most reviews I can tell you, this place is ran by money grubbing unprofessional care. It seems like all they care about is money. Taking new customers first before taking care of more serious issues like life threatening issues. Despicable and have been told the staff is crude even in your most desperate times. If you don’t have enough money they degrade you and question your ability as a pet owner. They even won’t let you see your pet until you pay an substantial amount of cash. This place is sick and very unprofessional. I would wait for your vet and maintain your animal as long as you can before I would waste a trip to this cash grab emergency care!

Took my dog here sick, they ran tests and wanted to do surgery but couldn’t afford pay them what they quoted. Ultimately had to have the dog put down. Even after being charged over $400. I know that emergency animal care is not cheap, but they refuse to bill you and want the money up front. Having to choose to put your best friend down because you don’t have thousands to help them is horrible, especially when she could have been saved. When I went to pickup the body the next day, the receptionist had a hard time finding my dog, and told me to check Cook funeral home for ashes. Only about 9 or 10 hours of them having her. Which they ultimately found my dog after an extended period of time. Would not recommend this money hungry business.
