“We booked a room to meet up with friends at a midway point between our homes. The Brass Pineapple was a great choice! The hostess is welcoming, breakfast was excellent. It's clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.”

400 2nd Ave SW, Charleston“We enjoyed staying in this hotel. The front desk people were very friendly. The room was amazing. The conference rooms were very nice . We did not use the pool but next time I will bring my swimsuit because the pool looks beautiful and there is a hot tub. It is an indoor pool surrounded by glass walls. There's a nice area outside the pool for lounging when weather is nice. The only complaints I have are with the restaurant/bar. The food was very fancy, but to be honest, I didn't understand half of the menu. I asked my server if a side dish came with the pork chops, and he picked up the menu and read it to me, which didn't answer my question because I had already read the menu. I ended up ordering a quesadilla, and it was very good but a little expensive. Our server was named John, and he was very nice.Hotel guests get a free breakfast. Unfortunately, we got to breakfast right at 9:00. The place was full, and more people were still coming in. It was a buffet style breakfast. But almost all the food was gone didn't replenish it because it was 9:00 I think that if you have people still eating they got there before 9:00 you should replenish the food. The syrup was completely empty, and when I asked for them to fill the syrup instead, she brought me a little bowl of syrup, but there were two of us, so I had to ask again. Finally, after picking through what little was left, I got food for us, though we didn't get scrambled eggs or sausage. Finally, we were ready to eat, but we had no silverware. There were just empty containers. We had to ask and wait for silverware. We had to ask and wait for orange juice. I was just glad that was free because I would not have paid money for the breakfast we had.Rooms: Our room was wonderful. I was traveling with a person who uses a wheelchair and many times when we stay in a hotel it is cramped and there's no way she can take a shower because it's usually not accessible for her. The room they gave us was beautiful and more importantly it was wheelchair accessible. There was a roll-in shower, the bathroom was big enough for her to turn around in with her chair. There was a space under the sink so she could get right up to it. Our room had a little kitchen. Even the kitchen sink headspace underneath four someone in a wheelchair and the microwave was down low enough for her to reach. There was a Keurig in the room with coffee pods and there was even pots and pans and dishes in the cabinet in case we wanted to cook. I've never stayed in such a nice room and I've definitely never seen a hotel room as accessible as this one was.”
“My son and I stayed here while traveling. The rooms were clean as was the entire property. The hot water lasted throughout our showers. There was a microwave and fridge. It was quiet and had an amazing view of the river. The girl who checked me in was sweet and professional. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
Rooms: The room was clean and air worked great. There was a fridge and microwave as well.
Noteworthy details: The riverfront view was beautiful.”

1 Virginia St W, Charleston“We are traveling from OH to NC and back over 4 days. We stayed in 3 Hampton Inns along the way and this was the last one and a bad way to end. The others (Mt. Airy and Wilmington) were fantastic. However, Charleston left a bit to be desired. There was no hot water in our room. Which is annoying, but they did give us a different room to shower in, so service was accommodating. The air/heat wouldn't regulate, it was either too hot or too cold, so we just turned it off. Breakfast was just eh. There were 3 types of eggs and some type of weird thing that looked like a chicken nuggets. Thank goodness for the waffles as they are always a win with my kids. It wasn't the worst place but definitely could have been better.”

6311 MacCorkle Ave SE, Charleston“Our room was clean and tidy and looked just like the photographs. People who wrote poor reviews must have been focusing on the exterior. Yes it is right along the freeway and feels like a truck stop but it was a very affordable place for us to crash and comfortable. Had better climate control than more expensive motels I've stayed in.”
“Location is very convenient with easy parking, however, they now charge for parking. This is new as I have stayed here many times in the past several years. While the rooms are always very nice, comfortable, and as good or better than any other place I've stayed locally, the sudden parking price gouge is not fair. They haven't added any convenience or service for the added cost, so just not sure what that's about. Shame, because otherwise it is my choice in Charleston. Our entire group, who visits 5 or 6 times a year for 3 or 4 nights each trip, will be looking for a new home away from home now.
Rooms: Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well appointed. As nice as much pricier options.”
“Very impressed with the service, cleanliness and overall experience at this hotel. It’s budget, sure, but all of the staff were incredibly nice and the room was clean and very comfortable. Noise was not a problem and the breakfast bar was quite surprising. Waffles and biscuits and gravy were delicious! Thank you for a great stay!”
“Highly recommend you stay here!! Very Friendly staff, we had such a pleasant time here the room was immaculate and fresh. They also serve breakfast in the mornings which is convenient and pretty good. They’ve got hot breakfast items, cold cereal, waffle makers to make fresh waffles and fruit. Thank you Sleep Inn staff for making our stay in West Virginia a great experience!”
