It's a typical Hampton Inn, good location for my needs. The fitness center needs to activate their Peleton bike so it can actually be used. Front desk staff had no clue. Very friendly staff.

We stopped for the night on our way to Hilton Head. Rebecca checked us in and was very friendly, making us feel welcome. The rooms were nice-and clean. We stay in Hilton properties whenever we travel. Loved the percale sheets, and the little hand sanitizer packets provided. Breakfast was good. Thank you for making our stay great!

The rooms appear clean however they could be a little more detailed and smell better.

Two words: creepy gazebo. If you come to Charleston and need a hotel, this is it. Average Hampton Inn experience, very comfortable. And the availability of a creepy gazebo on the edge of the property and river? Sign me up! I wonder if it requires reservations for weddings, funerals, and quincineras?Rooms: My room had additional ambient lighting on top of the wardrobe and desk, it was great.Safety: It's downtown Charleston, expect the unexpected.Noteworthy details: Creepy gazebo available for all your party needs!

Good quiet hotel. I was able to walk from here into the downtown area. The hotel was clean and the lady at the front desk was great. I would stay here again if I were to visit again.

My cousin and I had came into town to visit family and to celebrate my niece’s 16th birthday, which we stayed one night December-9-2023. Had a horrible experience when the girls decided that they wanted to go downstairs to swim, as we get downstairs to the pool area, it smelled like marijuana, we opened the door to the pool area to smell marijuana and lights were off. Pool closed at 10:00pm, we went down at 8:00pm, first red flag. We go to front desk to complain, just to see that manager Isaiah had contacted the lady at desk to let her know that pool was closed. Other guests were also in lobby to complain about the same thing. My cousin and I put 2 and 2 together to find that out. Come to find out that it was the manager on duty and his family. My nieces were very disappointed that they couldn't swim, which made me very angry. The next morning as we checked out of hotel, manager Isaiah was at the front desk and voluntarily informed me that he had taken care of the room charge, due to inconvenience, which The next few days, I check my credit card just to see that the charge was processed to my card after he notified me that he had taken care of it, I guess he was just trying to cover his back so I wouldn’t call corporate. I stay at Hampton Inn anywhere that I travel and never experienced such unprofessional hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again!Rooms: Hotel can be updated.

Great service!Rooms are old and do not seem clean. Very loud and too much light in the room (I think Christmas decorations were up)

It's an older hotel in an ideal location in Charleston. The relative age of the hotel lowered my expectations in terms of what to expect. All that being said, I was disappointed in the state of my room at check-in. To make a long story short, the mattress cover had stains on it, the bathroom trash bin had trash in it, and the bathroom floor was dirty. I checked in pretty late, so it sucked having to go back downstairs and get a new room. To the staff's credit, they were extremely apologetic and helpful, which was great. But yeah, the room was kind of gross. So it's a hotel located in a really convenient location, but be prepared to double check your room before laying your head down to sleep.

Stayed overnight for a concert, there was a mix-up with our room and the staff were incredible about it and worked hard to resolve the issue! They even comp'd my stay due to the initial error without me having to ask. Cookies in the lobby in the evening and a really great breakfast in the morning. The room was large and clean. The staff were the best part!Walkability: Just a bridge distance away from the convention center that holds lots of concerts!

Nice hotel and very friendly staff. Kinda questionable people hanging around outside on ben- ches and at the pool. Continental breakfast was good. $75 pet fee is ridiculous! Always used to pay $35 in the past at Hamptons.

I’ll start by saying the front desk staff when I checked-in yesterday afternoon was wonderful. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I’m a 24/7 gym person. I get up at 4:45 to 5:00 am to workout for an hour to get my day started every day, at every Hilton property I stay at. I first can’t figure out where this gym is located, so I walk to the front and ask the gentleman cooking breakfast. He said the gym is closed until 9 am. Really? Most people staying at hotels are here for work purposes. I’ll never stay at this hotel again because of this stupid policy.Walkability: Very close walking distance to restaurants.
