“The Ronald McDonald house is run on donations. That includes this one in Charleston, WV. The local community and staff on-site (as well as volunteers and local organizations) make this a home for those who are going through the toughest time of their lives. Without the help and support of this incredible home and its staff right next door to the W&C Hospital, families would struggle with the added stresses of transportation and hotel expenses to see their loved ones so long as they’re a hospital patient. I know, because my son was born two-months premature. We called this place home for 45 days. My wife and I still wonder what we would’ve done had it not been for this charity and the support from other parents going through the same thing. To any parent with a newborn in the NICU, stay positive. Your kid is stronger and more resilient than you know. They will grow and before you know it they’ll be talking, running and excited for preschool.”

“This was a nice sanctuary for me when I was young but unfortunately at that time there was a problem with some of the locals and the recruited minions stealing from people's lockers mostly wedding rings and necklaces!”

“I've had pleasant experiences volunteering for the YWCA. When there have been issues I've taken them to higher ups to be corrected and they have been corrected. I'm glad to be able to volunteer for causes like equity and safety.”
