Curly hair must for the Charleston, WV area! Larry is incredibly knowledgeable about curly hair and does continuing Ed so he stays up to date as things change. His appointments are long and the service is considerably more expensive than an average cut/wash/style, but worth it periodically for great curls.

Larry does a great job with my wavy hair. He teaches along the way and gives me the best haircuts. When i decided to cut several inches off, I didnt worry how it would turn out. I knew it would look great.

DO NO BOOK IF YOU WANT A SURE THING OR IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED RIGHT. My 3-hour curly cut, colour and consult was booked and paid for weeks in advance - all $264 HAD to be paid in full or they would not give me an appointment. The small print was brutal: "No refunds for cancellations/changes less than 48 hrs. No exceptions." Despite the many reviewers warning Larry's administrative skills were less than desirable, I decided to take a risk. It was a 2 hour round trip. I cleared my day. It was a birthday treat so my husband also cancelled all his appointments and took annual leave so we could go together. I received messages in the lead up asking me to 'confirm' that I would be there at 10am on Sept 9. I confirmed. I also received several messages reminding me about my appointment, including a message from the Salon the morning of the day before confirming my appointment was all set for 10am on Sept 9... "see you soon" it said.Then at 5pm(!!!) the night before my 10am appointment, I received a text saying I needed to move my appointment to 1230pm or it would be cancelled! I have three young children at school. I need to get back to collect them form school. So clearly pushing my appointment back 2.5 hours was impossible. When I said I couldn't do it that late because of the children, I had NO REPLY save an automated message confirming my appointment had been CANCELLED. I tried to call. No answer. I texted asking if I could speak to someone. No answer. In the end I got a message from Larry (I assume?) saying something had come up and he couldn't do anything about it. When I asked for more of an explanation, saying how upsetting the last minute cancellation had been for me, and asking whether he would have extended me the same courtesy should I have had an emergency (what if my kid was sick?)... he NEVER ANSWERED!Absolutely appalling customer service. I get that things come up. But I never got to speak to anyone about it and no explanation save, "I won't be available till 1230...there is nothing I can do" was given. This is not acceptable and to be honest, after having my money for weeks, it makes me nervous to book again. I feel there is no commitment to communication or to actually honoring appointments that have been made.The way I see it Larry feels he has a monopoly on curly cuts so he thinks he can treat his customers like dirt and because 'there is no alternative' they will take it. But there are alternatives all over Ohio, Kentucky and Virginia and their reviews are consistently good so I will take my business to someone who values his/her customers.Services: Hairstyling

If you got curls you have to go see Larry at 712. Go through with the curl lesson. I always thought I was styling my hair the right way and I was NOT. Thank you Larry for making me even more beautiful. (｡♡‿♡｡)

I have super curly hair. Been called nappy, frizzy, fuzzy all my life. Let Larry have free range. He cut my shoulder length hair to my ears. I LOVE IT! At 53 years old I love my hair. No more flat ironing and a shelf full of products. Just shampoo, conditioner and styler. My hair feels better and is easy to take care of. 5/5. Would recommend to any curly girl
