About Brandywine Recreation Area
Brandywine Recreation Area is a great, very well-run campground with clean, well-maintained grounds. It offers many great, private campsites, a clean shower house, and a peaceful beach setting for swimming and picnics. The beautiful, shaded Sawmill Trail provides a quiet hike crossing a stream. A nice, clean family-run restaurant with good food is located nearby. The camp hosts are attentive and sweet, contributing to a highly recommended experience.

Did the Sawmill Trail that starts at the back of the Brandywine Recreation Area campground, near lot 25. It’s just under 5 miles, mostly shaded, crosses the stream in several sections (you can hop rocks across), and is a beautiful hike. Very peaceful and quiet (we saw a total of zero other hikers). Highly recommend!

Great campground. Well maintained grounds, restrooms and shower house are well kept and very clean. Many great campsites to choose from. Lots of privacy. A must if you’re in the area. Look forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy the beach!

Don't go here!!! Kidding, I would just hate to see it crowded. This place is fantastic. Great lake, great facilities. 5 ?
