Had a lovely visit to the shop while visiting the town today. Customer service was on point and their selection of items was impressive. Highly recommend if you're near Berkeley Springs.

Good selection, but my spouse, my friend, and I felt as though the person running the shop that day treated us very coldly. We felt like we were interrupting something and that she felt we were suspicious characters. She either followed us too closely or disappeared entirely.
She rushed us and turned her nose up when we examined items. When I inquired about something specific, she implied that I didn't know what I was doing, but she lacked basic knowledge of the simpler inventory pieces.
I don't know if she's still there, but we haven't been back and won't be back unless we see reviews that say the atmosphere has become welcoming and the staff appears to be knowledgeable. Until then, I'm rather left with the impression that this store is a collection of items being sold due to the metaphysical popularity bandwagon and not a niche store catering to the curious and knowledgeable.

This occurred perhaps two years ago in one of the cooler months. Not winter, but cooler.

Each time I visit Berkeley Springs a stop at Portals is a must! They have an extensive inventory and a helpful and knowledgeable staff.
I had the chance to do a virtual tarot reading with Geoffrey today and I highly recommend his readings. Geoffrey has an exuberant style of reading that provides context, perspective and a deeper understanding of the cards.
For anyone on the fence about a virtual tarot reading- give it a try-this felt no different than being in person. And actually, the virtual reading provided privacy and no distractions of being in public.

Jeffrey was wonderful! Super helpful and wonderful with my son. He had crayons and toys available for kids while parents shop. I'll be back whenever I'm in town!

Hands down, best Metaphysical store in the Four state area. Amazing selection of Herbs, Books, Candles and Crystals, Incense. Highly recommend. Shop proprietors are inviting and do care about the clientele that shop. 5 Stars!

Really don’t appreciate the attitude from the store employees. I actually watched one of the employees verbally assault a customer and it seemed to make the others customers uncomfortable as well as myself. Hopefully this review gets a response from the rude person who now has a reputation for their responses on Google. I thought cyber bullying was a high school thing!Also, you don’t have to publicly ban me from your store! I’ll save you the trouble! Wouldn’t be caught dead in there and it’s a shame because it’s a cute shop.
