I am reviewing the Walgreens located at 2933 Robert C Byrd Dr, Beckley, WV 25801. I just drove down to Walgreens to pick up a prescription. I waited in line for approximately ten minutes. When it was my turn at the window, they put up a sign that said they were going to lunch and acted like they could not hear me. When I asked to speak with a manager, a lady named Tammy walked over, but certainly did not look like a manager (unprofessional attire). She listened to my complaint and told me I could call 1-800-Walgreens, which is nothing but a data-gathering tool with ten minutes' worth of keypad surveys and marketing recordings. Also, their pharmacist "Mike" is one of the most discriminating and rude individuals I have encountered in a customer-facing role. I will be switching pharmacies and I would recommend avoiding this pharmacy if possible. I only used their services because they bought my previous pharmacy (Bypass Pharmacy), which had amazing service.

Horrible pharmacy, the pharm techs are very rude. The drive up window is so slow and it takes 45-1hr waiting in line.

Dropped off prescription after surgery. They told me it would be about an hour to an hour and a half to get it filled. After 2 hours and 15 minutes and checking for the third time they told me it would be about twenty more minutes before it would be ready.

Horrible manager and establishment. I walked in to get a quick drink on my way to my daughter’s baby shower and never again!!!The manager was in there stocking shelves and was farting the entire time I was shopping!!! The whole store smelled awful. Everything was disorganized and I could barely concentrate on my shopping due to the disgusting stench in the store distracting me. Absolutely disgusting.

Absolute joke of a pharmacy. You want your medication? Sorry they don’t have it. It’ll be ready in a hour, and then it’s not ready an hour later. I can go to a family pharmacy and they can give me my prescription same day. Why and how does a bunch of pharmacist not know what they are doing. Never get your prescriptions here at all, these people do not know what to do or what they are doing. I’ve never had this much trouble with Walgreens when it comes to getting my medication. But when I get prescribed medication that determines my health mentally and physically and I can’t even get it because the I’m being told “no we don’t have it” or I’m basically being told “no I don’t wanna do my job that I applied for”Find local family owned pharmacies for any of your medication needs. Because clearly your needs are not met at a pharmacy that claims to be giving that need

Been going here for a long time and never had any issues. Items are on the more pricey side but worth it. Pharmacy stays very busy espically their drive thru. The lady at the front register named Kita is very helpful

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PHARMACY ANYWHERE! DO NOT go here for anything ever! Six weeks ago, I requested a refill of a prescription in-store, and they told me they have to order it because they're out of it. I said, Ok no problem thanks. I called a week later, and they said oh it looks like its still not in. I said, ok no problem. Another week goes by, I went in-store, and she said Oh my, apparently they forgot to order it... I'll order it now. Four more weeks since then, and guess what... STILLLLLL not in. Three weeks ago I called and asked to refill my cetirizine, and the short old lady foreign pharmacist was extremely rude to me for no reason. She told me "my insurance will not pay for this and I have to pay cash for it". I told her that this is a refill and they filled it last month with no problem with insurance. She said, "NO, You are wrong. They do not pay for this in WV", and hung up on me! The next day I went there and magically had it filled with no problems from insurance! I reported her to another employee that said she (that pharmacist) is very rude sometimes and apologized on her behalf. She basically called me a liar, even though SHE was wrong! AND yet another bad experience... I had to go to FL last minute on 12/24/23 for a week, and requested a couple days before that to have my prescriptions that were due, refilled. I was notified by the Walgreens system that some of my prescriptions were ready for pick up on 12/23/23, so I went there around 5:45pm which was the soonest I could get there, and there was a sign in the window that said there was no pharmacist on duty, so I could not pick up my order before my trip. Today, 12/31/23, I LITERALLY just got back into town from FL. It's been 7 days since my the day order was ready and I wasn't allowed to pick it up. The younger new girl at the window said they only have 2 for me to pick up, so I asked about the other ones that were ready 7 days ago. She had a little attitude about it because it was almost closing time and apparently didn't want to be bothered with helping a customer like she is paid to do. She said she doesn't know anything about the other ones but I can pick them up in a couple days when they reopen. I asked what happened and why they would've been put back after only 7 days instead of their normal 10 day period, and she went and got the balding pharmacist guy who apparently also couldn't be bothered with helping a customer in need of my medically necessary medication before they closed for 1-1/2 days. They both were just trying to rush me away and told me they don't know why their system doesn't work right sometimes, and I will just have to wait until they open again in a couple days. So I asked him "what am I supposed to do? I can't stop the (medication) suddenly because it can cause serious problems like seizures, strokes etc." That Ahole actually said "Well it looks like you've had this prescription in the system for 3 weeks now so why didn't you get it filled earlier if you were running out? apparently you didn't need it that badly" So I said to him "Excuse me?? If you actually looked at my profile you would see that this script is for 45 tablets and is not the same Rx number as the normal 30 count one that I just ran out of today. Apparently my Dr. sent this new one in and I didn't know about it, until I requested it to be filled 7 days ago!" What an uncaring, arrogant, pompous ASS! AND, he could've given me a couple of the tablets from the script they have on file, to hold me over until they reopened, because they are supposed to do things like that to prevent medical emergencies from happening, but NOPE! NOT THEM! This is flat out medical negligence! These people at this store are the most rude, unprofessional and unsympathetic pharmacy staff I have EVER seen at any pharmacy anywhere! Save yourself the headaches and frustration and DO NOT GO HERE!! I will never stop letting people know about just how horrible this

I went in to pick up my stuff from fed ex and the manager Susie or Susan was yelling at her employees and degrading them in a manner that made me truly embarrassed to think she is allowed to be a manager. No one should treat their staff that way. They were all super delightful and kind except that manager.
