This store basically stole $200 from my mom. She purchased a gift card here as a holiday gift, they gave her receipt and sent her on her way. Went to use the gift card & the retailer said it had never been activated! Called this store and told them we still had the receipt and asked if we could bring the card back to be activated. They basically said there was nothing they could do. The retailer said it’s up to Walgreens to activate. So basically my moms money just disappeared into thin air. We’ll have to cross our fingers and hope her bank charges back the funds. If not, I’m irate enough to take Walgreens to small claims court lol. You can’t just steal $200 from someone and say “Oops we cant fix it!”

Horrible and upsetting experience. Called day prior and was told meds would be ready next morning when opened. Got there and was told it would be noon..3 hrs later. Was leaving town so I checked other locations to see if I could get it sooner and couldn’t. Called back to say go ahead and fill it and was met with a nasty tone and told that they didn’t have my medication and that it was back ordered and they didn’t know when they would have it. Why couldn’t they tell me the day before when I could’ve had it transferred by my doctor? So now it’s the weekend and can’t call my doctor until Monday, out of medication for at least 3 days maybe longer meanwhile they are being nasty to me on the phone because I’m asking questions trying to figure out what to do and what my possibilities may be. They could’ve cared less about my end of it. I will NEVER use this pharmacy again simply because of the way I was treated and talked to not because I didn’t get my medicine. I had noticed in the past that the staff seemed kind of lazy here but just let it pass so next time I’ll pay more attention to red flags. Extremely poor. customer service.

Good intentions don't get me my meds. They're mostly good, kindhearted staff in the pharmacy; but the techs as well as the actual pharmacists frequently don't do their jobs well. It's not ineptitude. Worse. They are-- in my 15 years of experience with the pharmacy staff-- consistently lazy. if you can, I'd recommend you go somewhere else.

Good pharmacy and nice workers. Just worried about the drive threw worker asking for birthdays. I'm a pharmacy tech and know well that you should ask for a patient's birthday before handing over a prescription. This man just asked my name and handed it over. I was a bit confused and asked him if he needed my birthday. His explanation was "well you're the only one with that name that's ready". My name is common and there could be other patients with that name this could turn into a HIPAA issue if this happens to the wrong patient. Also, the COB, no matter how many times I ask them to COB they said I don't have my insurance on there when I'd given it the week before or they could do an eligibility check to find it first or seeing how it was billed the time before.

Walgreens is never open, their system is never working, they don't even have someone that can do a simple blood pressure. This is why I do not have my prescriptions at Walgreens I buy nothing at Walgreens. I've been to Walgreens and 3 separate States, they could not even do a covid shot because their system wasn't open in 2 States. What the hell kind of chain is this nowadays? I remember a decade ago when Walgreens actually cared about their stores and their customers, now they are lazy and do not invest. This is why I will continue to visit CVS. It is a disappointment

I couldn't find a pharmacy in the area for one of my medications. No one (I tried five different ones) had it in stock or could order it and they had no idea why. Finally my nurse located some at Walgreens in B'ville on Rt 60 next to Kroger. They only had enough for five nights and they didn't have the correct dosage but I left there knowing that I was going to be able to sleep for five nights. They answered all my questions and were so professional and helpful. The technician told me that she had ordered the remainder of the prescription and they should be in in two days. When I returned, my insurance company was refusing to pay for the remainder until next Wednesday which would have left me without Rx for two nights. The pharmacist tried to explain the situation to my insurance but they wouldn't budge. I ended up paying for it myself but the technician told me how to submit it to my insurance after next Wednesday so that I should be reimbursed. I was a first-time customer there and they treated me like family. I live within 5 miles of another Walgreens but they weren't interested enough to help me locate my Rx so I will happily drive to B'ville to this AMAZING pharmacy where my new friends work.
