This is a great little campground located on the Greenbrier River near Alderson WV. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and maintains the campground very well. River access is about as good as it gets on the Greenbrier. There are train tracks on the opposite side of the river so expect some noise from that throughout the night (we got used to it after 2 nights). You'll also hear some highway noise but it was tolerable for us. They have great amenities for those wanting to play volleyball or corn hole or horseshoes and they can hook you up with kayaks, canoes, or tubes and provide the shuttling.A couple things to be aware of... the entrance to the campground is somewhat hidden until you are right on top of it and there isn't good signage ( it would be great if a sign can be placed at yhe entrance which is clearly visible in advance). There's a sign 1/4 mile before the turn off but again, you can't see the turn off until you are 20 yards from it and it's in a passing zone - can be very dangerous, and you may end up having to drive a long ways to find a place to turn around. Also, there's a steep hill where you pull out onto the highway and you'll have to swing out into the oncoming lane if you're pulling anything of size, so again, be cautious as this can be dangerous.

I rented all of their available "cabins" for a week for a family reunion. The new "park model" mobile homes are beautiful and pleasant. The old kitchey trailers are not that great. Avoid them. My son and his wife were stuck in a trailer with no AC! High 80s. The beach is more like a boat launch (rocks not sand). Each "cabin" has wood in a nice stack but beware - very costly...$1 per small quarter log piece of wood. The wifi speed measured 0.9 Mbps and one bar of cell signal sporadically unless you were in the cabins at the end of the road - then there was no service. At all. The only real restroom is at the front of the camp ... Very very loooong walk. There is supposed to be a portapotty back in the woods somewhere on a steep, muddy slope! Not really accessible unless you're very desperate and wear your hiking shoes while carrying a good flashlight. The tubing and kayaking is expensive and there's no break for guests staying there. It was difficult to get a kayak anyway since there are only 2 of the two person types available. The "resort" is owned privately and the owners, manager, maintenance people live there and apparently spy on their guests from their "cabins" parked strategically. Creepy. The lady who takes reservations was very nice. The maintenance guys did a good job and were friendly also.

We only rented kayaks and used the drop off and pickup services. Friendly staff, they had everything ready, and provided great info on the river conditions.

We took a last minute camping trip and stayed at this campground. We decided to go tubing (it was a blast!), they shuttled us to the drop off and you just float down the river right back to the campground which is awesome if you want to float/kayak and only have 1 car. Note: we bought a sticker before our tubing trip and left it at the front desk, a few days later we checked our mail and they had mailed us our sticker!! This small campground has owners & employees with huge hearts! We will be back. Thanks Beverly and Bob!

We had a very good stay at this campground! We ended up renting one of the rvs- the Shasta and it was so cute! Loved being right by the river. The camp site was super clean. The only downside is that it is in between a main (busy/loud) road and a train track that actually runs frequently.

Love this campground. I rent the kayaks with pals when we come into camp out on family land every year. It’s always an awesome time. A few rapids to get your blood flowing, beautiful scenery, and can stop at Stuart’s bars along the way. They drop you off, pick you up afterwards, and always so friendly. 5/5 place!

Stayed at the river cabin. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The cabin was stocked like an Airbnb. Very nice small cabin. Outdoor awnings were very helpful since it rained a lot. Gas grill provided.Verizon signal was bad. At&t signal was usable. Campground WiFi is just out of range at this cabin (at far end of campground).

This is my seventh year at having a permanent spot at the camp. Bob and bev are the most down to earth people. They improve the camp every year. I've never seen anyone run a campground with more love for making people have a great experience. Trust me the bad reviews reflect the person with the bad comments. 99 percent of the campers love the atmosphere there. Thank you Bob and Bev for being great host.

This is a great campground at a good location especially if you are a Lewisburg, WV fan. The owners are super nice and helpful. We have visited this campground twice in a month. If you seek a good church while staying here, Rhema Christian Center is wonderful! The people are super friendly and loving and the Pastor offers messages that are Biblically sound and are very pertinent to the challenges of life today.

The best affordable spot on the greenbrier river. Tent sites right on water and cabins/campers within a stone's throw. The best hosts will shuttle you and tubes for your float trip. We had perfect conditions, and whitecaps to get your heart racing.

This campground is super clean, full of activities, next to the creek, vintage camper rental along with cabins with hot tubs and without hot tubs. We went when it was rainy and the creek was high so we couldn't get on the water☹️. Close to the road so you get some road noise. You here some heavy, long train carrying coal.

Our site was small and our picnic table was with in 10 feet of our neighbors sewer hook up. Would definitely stay here again at another site. River access was awesome.

We were in the River House. Great place, clean, plenty of space for a family of 6. Great friendly employees. River views, excellent owners. Always checking to see if anything is needed for their guest. Love the kids friendly atmosphere, never worried while my child was riding his bike, or playing at the playground. The river tours my child loved and had a great time. Definitely recommend for a family getaway.
